I wonder if this is another rose that grows out of its disease problems as it matures. It definitely is very bright. Sheila, your conifer screen is growing apace,. I wonder how long it will be before we can no longer have glimpses of that atmospheric barn.

Shelia, it looks like everything to the right of Henri Martin and Gruss an Teplitz is roses?! Is this a huge rose hedge? The plant to the left looks like some sort of evergreen? What an amazing yard and view up the hill of wildness and trees! Reminds me of Ingrid’s garden in that way. Huge and surrounded by natural beauty.

Stephanie, not only are Sheila's natural surroundings very beautiful, but she has many more roses than I have, and in a few years they've all attained an incredible size and beauty. It's quite an accomplishment.

I do have oodles of roses in that bed, Stephanie. Oh no, The Arizona cypress better not hide the barn. They were there when we got here and tiny in 2015. My rose irrigating is helping them.

Shelia and Ingrid, I adore both of your gardens! It’s the wild beauty that captures my heart. Here is a bloom of Gruss an Teplitz this misty morning. Reds are hard to capture but this is true color. I love the idea of red and white roses intermingling. I didn’t realize until today that the blooms of GaT and Madame Alfred Carriere are very complementary in bloom style and size. I hope I can keep MAC in bounds as mine doesn’t seem to have much vigor, at least as compared to the house eating stories I hear about her on here. And her bloom to compare.

The two together would look wonderful, Stephanie. The cerise-red of the one rose and the blush white of the other would be lovely as a pair.
