Kitchen makeover dilemma

I’m redoing my kitchen. All the cabinets are being built up to the bulk head. I want The cabinets over my fridge to be counter depth so that the fridge looks more enclosed but the bulk head doesnt extend to there, which means that the cabinet over the fridge would end up having nothing on top (not reaching the ceiling). Will this look bad?

In your pic the ceiling runs the same as the soffit above the fridge so what is the issue. BTW get a counter depth fridge is I hope what you are doing. Maybe explain a bit more

I would either pull the bulkhead forward in that area or run the cab all the way to ceiling there which will require either a custom box (that works around bulkhead) or removal of bulkhead in that area.
