Packed with cottage attributes, Sunset View features an open floor plan without sacrificing intimate spaces. Detailed design elements and updated amenities add both warmth and character to this multi-seasonal, multi-level Shingle-style-inspired home.
Columns, beams, half-walls and built-ins throughout add a sense of Old World craftsmanship. Opening to the kitchen and a double-sided fireplace, the dining room features a lounge area and a curved booth that seats up to eight at a time. When space is needed for a larger crowd, furniture in the sitting area can be traded for an expanded table and more chairs. On the other side of the fireplace, expansive lake views are the highlight of the hearth room, which features drop down steps for even more beautiful vistas.
An unusual stair tower connects the home’s five levels. While spacious, each room was designed for maximum living in minimum space. In the lower level, a guest suite adds additional accommodations for friends or family. On the first level, a home office/study near the main living areas keeps family members close but also allows for privacy.
The second floor features a spacious master suite, a children’s suite and a whimsical playroom area. Two bedrooms open to a shared bath. Vanities on either side can be closed off by a pocket door, which allows for privacy as the child grows. A third bedroom includes a built-in bed and walk-in closet. A second-floor den can be used as a master suite retreat or an upstairs family room.
The rear entrance features abundant closets, a laundry room, home management area, lockers and a full bath. The easily accessible entrance allows people to come in from the lake without making a mess in the rest of the home. Because this three-garage lakefront home has no basement, a recreation room has been added into the attic level, which could also function as an additional guest room.
Home Security In My Area
The home’s real luxury is, of course, the ensured safety of its inhabitants. Should an intruder manage to breach the extensive exterior security measures that include comprehensive surveillance abilities, there are two hidden panic rooms and two architecturally invisible “safe cores.”
The safe cores consist of entire sections of the residence that can be isolated from the rest of the home and where the homeowner can retreat in complete safety — not to mention luxury — from an outside threat that might include an intruder, a natural disaster or even a nuclear, biological or chemical attack. The extent of the security features will only be disclosed to the future owners.

Cleaning Mold with Bleach is Hazardous, Don't use bleach, Mold,
Using chlorine bleach to kill mold is probably one of the worst things you can do.
As a matter of fact, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), stopped recommending the use of bleach for dealing with mold issues. And, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) updated their guide as well, removing the suggestion to use bleach to kill mold.
The problem is, it’s true that bleach can kill some mold in some places, some of the time. But, bleach only works to remove mold on hard, impermeable surfaces like bathtub and shower surrounds or tiles. However, on porous surfaces like drywall or hardwood floors, it won’t work to kill mold or keep it from coming back.
Mold spreads its roots deep into porous surfaces.
Simply spraying a bleach solution on the surface won’t kill mold spores at their roots.
Here are some reasons Why you should NOT to Use Bleach to Kill Mold:
1) Bleach is Caustic, with High VOC's and can cause Burns to your Eyes, Nose and Throat and Skin. Your Pets paws, can get burned, and Pets lick their paws.
2) Bleach encourages toxic mold growth on porous surfaces because it provides excess moisture.
3) Bleach is extremely corrosive, and corrodes Metal Fastners, such as Screws and Nails, Water Pipes, Waste and Drain Pipes.
4) Bleach only removes the color from mold.
5) Chlorine bleach is extremely harmful to surfaces.

The 2016 Fall Remodelers Showcase Home Tour features a complete kitchen renovation resulting from a dishwasher flood disaster. The main floor water damage was extensive, not only damaging the kitchen and main living area but the ceiling in the lower level below. We worked closely with the homeowners insurance company to make sure the claim was consistent with a realistic and comprehensive budget. Beyond that settlement, the client saw an opportunity to finally correct a multitude of insufficiencies and design improvements in her kitchen and the main floor storage areas. With our collaborative help, the client finally realized the long-dreamed of chance to redesign their entire kitchen, add storage, update interior finishes throughout the main floor including retexturing ceilings throughout—returning functionality and beauty to her home.

Ginkgo Landscape - Paisajista en Marbella
The garden of the Apostolic Nunciature in Port-au-Prince (with more than 140 botanical species) is comprised of a magnificent collection of orchids, bromeliads and tropical palms, woods with large trees such as the mahogany tree, coffee plantations beneath their branches, and a majestic rose garden containing varieties from all over the world. Similarly, for three years we redesigned the spiritual gardens dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Baby Jesus of Prague and to Saint Francis, as well as renovating other areas, such as the entrance.
Thanks to the Apostolic Nunciature initiative, we succeeded in turning a highly necessary environmental project in a country where the rate of deforestation is scandalously high, into a reality. By collecting seedlings that sprouted spontaneously in woods after each rainy season, and then disappeared with the onset of the dry season, we managed to raise social conscience and find sponsors for over 600 trees. With the proceeds we funded social Nunciature projects aimed at alleviating, amongst others, the destructive effects of the natural disasters that devastated the island just a few months previously (hurricane Matthew).

One year after completing the main level renovation, in 2015, my client experienced a major flood in her basement. So a year sooner than we had planned, we were working with the disaster management team on a complete renovation of the basement. Our focus was a multifunctional family room with ample space and comfort for a hockey loving family with growing teenagers. We also reworked a cramped bathroom with a stand up shower stall to allow for a full tub and shower surround while making the small space more efficient. This renovation was also completed with custom window treatments and throw cushions, artwork framing and placement.
