Inspiration for an industrial kitchen remodel in New York with flat-panel cabinets, dark wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances

Decoupaged retro tulip chair that was purchased from Overstock.com; very inexpensive. The desk was clear glass and gray metal. We sprayed the base brown, taped off the glass with masking tape, drew the Mehndi design with the help of my daughter, etched out the design with an Xacto knife, peeled off where we wanted to brown spray paint on the glass, sprayed it, let it dry and then removed the rest of the tape leaving our design on the glass. Fun project.

Kids' room - eclectic kids' room idea in Miami

Our gorgeous winter tree wall decal is the star of this corporate hall space. The blue blossoms coordinate well with the chairs while looking like they have been gently wind blown. Made with commercial grade removable vinyl. Comes in 5 different sizes.

Inspiration for a small contemporary front porch remodel in Newcastle - Maitland with decking

Close up of hand painted wall tattoo or stencil. My client wanted to remove the twin beds and replace them with a king size bed. We went with a upholstered Decor Rest headboard in Hot White ultra suede. A ready made quilted bedspread, and custom Drapes, pillows and bedskirt. I've used Farrow and Ball #2 Hound Lemon as an accent wall. The Strada mirror accent tables adds a bit of glam, and by using the Hound Lemon to tattoo the en-suite wall. It all comes together.

Kids spaces can be playful, colourful and artistic cost effectively. Here, wall tattoos of birch trees in gold provide the framework on which to "hang" framed animal postcard prints. Pretty ribbon and sparkling flowers provide the finishing touches. This wall is easily updated to keep pace with the age of the child by switching the frames or removing them all together to leave the trees bare. Photography by Marc Lavoie
