Do you use salt or other chemicals on your driveway during the Winter?

Ah, my husband uses Round Up during the summer on the gravel driveway to keep down weeds. Maybe that's it.

I would say it would, just a slight breeze and the round-up can get on the foliage...once on the foliage, especially if 50 % or more of it is covered, it will Kill.

If those are really the orange ditch lily, they will probably put back up some nice new foilage. Probably. Only time will tell. Good luck and if they don't survive, you can usually find someone locally that will be glad to let you have some.

I have a LARGE "clump" of those orange ditch lilies and I would love to share them. They are just now starting to bud but I'm sure in the next few days they'll be blooming .. if you want some of them I'll gladly share. I REALLY need to clean them out they are FULL of weeds. (just moved in and have been pruning bushes and haven't got around to weeding everything yet)

I appreciate the kind offer but these daylilies come back year after year and bloom nicely and I have a lot of them. I must say that they are my favorite daylily though. They look so natural here in the mountains.
These daylilies bloomed nicely this year also; it's just that after they finish they always turn ugly, yellow and brown.
Somebody should jump on your offer because the wild type daylilies are wonderful in my opinion.

Not a problem... I'm always willing to share something I have so many of. ;-) They are quite pretty.. too bad they only last for a day. *le sigh*
