I was in Joann's briefly last evening to check out their fluffiest batting and will be back today with my coupon. They have 36" muslin on sale for 2yds/$1, broadcloth $1.99/yd and all Simplicity patterns for 99 cents (hey, when did they remove the cents symbol from the keyboard?).

Hold down the Alt key and over on the number keyboard I put in 0162 for the cent sign.
There never was a ¢ sign on the keyboard was there? Anyone take typing 101 and can tell us if it used to be on a typewriter.

I do remember a cent sign I think. That must have gone long ago. Funny how things disappear and we don't realize it. Anything else they've taken away ??

I just went down and looked at my OLD green standard Royal (circa 1940-something)...the ¢ was to the right of the ; key back when the " was above the 2 and the ' was above the 8. The key was ¢ below @. Clear as mud, right?
