Asymmetrical Living Room Design Help

I have a wide living room with two inset spaces on both sides of the fireplace/media space that I have NO idea how to style. Without tearing walls out, or adding built-ins, I'm at a complete loss of ideas. Looking for recommendations on decorating. reading nook? storage cabinets? wall art? Please help!

I like the mantle. The TV might be on the wrong piece of furniture. Honestly, you've done well to start.

The mirror on the cross chest can be hung higher. Do you have that set up as a bar? I would.

Bring the chair into the room just a bit more.

thanks for the response! I haven't hung the mirror yet because I'm wasn't sure if it was the right item for that wall. but I agree with your advice! thanks!
