Converting baby room to toddler boy room

Time to convert crib to toddler (twin) bed. Keeping carpet. Any suggestions for bedding?

I would choose a "carry-over" wall color…something you can work with over the next 16 years…(it goes fast) and then change the bedding to relate to his age.

The carpet has a pattern in it so would it be better to go with plain bedding?

From the photo it doesn't look like the rug has so much pattern that you are limited to plain bedding. What else is going on in the room decor wise? Are those beach pics?

If your crib has a removable bar, I took the front panel out of ours and converted it into a day bed and later on into a sofa when he was too big to sleep in it. It retains that continuity and familiarity but slowly evolves with the child.

Ok...crib down...bed up! Haven't put any bedding on yet just wanted some feedback on the arrangement of furniture...the space is really tight....I think the carpet needs to be rotated and the pictures need to be moved...Right?
