Rhonda, what is the width between tub and wall? or, what will the width be once you remove the tub? I ask because if you lay out the 12x24 tiles (which honestly? I would scrap and use a 24x24, 30x30) across the room, will you have to cut tile or end up w/smaller pieces near the walls?
24x24 on walls, floor, curb-less shower.
I think something like this size would look better in your shape bathroom. being 'tall and narrow', the 24x24 tiles spread out a little bit and don't emphasize the 'thin' look.
The 12x24 tiles run across the width of the room, they tend to look a little squatty. Is that shower getting enlarged?
1/3 offset on horizontal shower, and parallel floor tiles. Is this the look you like?
tried to find a similar sized shower. tiles run longways against the wall. I like it run this way because it won't cut your room in half.
On yours, I would take the tile up fully on the wall on the left, and take it straight actoss on the slope side.
this is my shower. I have a sloped ceiling. I thought about taking the tile all the way up on that back wall, but it would have looked odd against the very back wall. So I did it like this.
I think you have some better options for the layout of your room. 12x24 is the least favorite of mine, but that's just my opinion. Let me show you some other examples.
for some reason the tile above looks horrible to me, but this one is ok in the same layout
depending on the tile chosen, (and this one is nice), the vertical 1/4 offset actaully looks nice
12x24 stacked on the floor, smaller tile on the shower walls, but same floor tile on the outer walls.
you like this at all?
what about smaller sized floor tiles? does it have to be a 12x24?
or, smaller shower tiles ? here's a 12x24 floor w/no shower curb, run straight into the shower
they even have 48" panels, or larger.
Have you looked at the tiles on Tilebar? the XL format?
This is their Kenridge tile (the wood look) Paired w/one of the larger gray format tiles. I love this look
the same gray (I think they are 24x24 or a bit larger) is on the floor
On this version, they did a thinner tile on the floor. looks like an 8x16 (or something close to it)
The kenridge also comes in a 8x48 size tile if you like the thinner look
comes in a gray, and in a 24x48 chevron size

24x48. Now this would be a cool tile for your flooring.
