Guest Picks: A Cozy Front Porch
A rug underfoot instantly creates a cozier and more comfortable space. I love a good stripe, and this navy rug still leaves me with lots of color options for the rest of the room.
Any couch needs extra pillows. Lumbar pillows are so comfy, and I really like this diamond pattern on this one.
While the mainstays of the room may be navy and white, I want to throw in some bits of bright color, like these fun coral pillows.
Since I will want to host in this space, I need a coffee table that can hold snacks and drinks, along with a book or a magazine.
A couple of poufs not only add color and softness to the room, but also provide a comfy place for more people to sit, or even put up their feet. I love this striped version!
This is such a great seating option. It’s a comfy place to sit and doubles as storage! I’d stash some dog toys or maybe an extra blanket in the bottom.
I want a pile of blankets in a basket, ready to help make those chilly fall evenings last just a little bit longer.
This basket can easily corral a couple blankets or extra pillows. I prefer to keep pillows off the floor, and this basket would make that happen.
Trays make entertaining so much easier. This glossy one is easy to clean and almost impossible to break, the perfect combination for an outdoor space.
I want to bring the comforts of inside out, and the greenery of outside in. I would love to put a plant like this in the corner of my porch to add some color and life to the area.
I love these sconces for a softer glow in the evening. Plus, the antique bronze is beautiful and works perfectly with all of the navy accents.
A little extra light can keep the party going long after the sun goes down. I’m absolutely loving this bronze finish, and my porch ceiling isn’t extra tall, so this slim profile is perfect.
Candlelight makes every evening more memorable, doesn't it? I would place a couple of these on the coffee table, or even hang them from a line of nails on the wall.
I love the peaceful sound of wind chimes. This pretty set would look great in the corner and add a melodic ambience to a summer evening.
I would install a line of hooks to hold guests' jackets, a blanket or even a picture frame.
I love the weathered look of these frames. I'd fill a handful of them with snapshots of faces and places my family and I love to make us smile, and warm up the space too.
I know it’s just one more thing to wash, but I think white floor-length curtains fluttering in the evening breeze make an enclosed porch all the cozier. These ones are affordable and can be tossed in the wash.
During the summer, I try to always have light snacks on hand, ready for guests at a moment's notice. A nice selection of cheeses on this platter and glass of wine make the perfect addition to an evening on the porch.
I don’t have quite enough room for a hammock on the porch, but if I did, I’d have this one! The fabric looks cool and cozy and perfect for an afternoon nap away from bugs and raindrops.Next: Breezy and Bug-Free Modern Porches
I’ve fallen hard for this couch. It has a beautiful finish and looks so comfortable. I can see having a hard time leaving it at the end of the night. I love the clean lines that make for a good mix of modern and classic, which is just what my space needs.
