It looks beautiful, tranquil, and inviting! I would say to those selecting fabric color that so much white can be overwhelming to the eye. It's the same effect as being on the snow in the sun without sunglasses. Conversely, it does let more light through as a darker fabric may "dampen" the area.

Really it's a matter of personal preference, but this should be a consideration when choosing fabrics for different areas.

What a wonderful awning that was installed there. How would you install that and with what is the awning hanging from? that's my question that I've been wanting to ask after seeing this. http://www.patioworldnsw.com.au/products/atrium-awnings

Merge indoors and out. If you invested in sliding doors that open your interior to the yard, you can extend your livable space — both visually and practically — with a sail. Put yours over a dining area, outdoor kitchen or seating space but (note to self) not a barbecue.

    2. Crank out an awning. For more flexibility, and with fickle weather to contend with, even during the summer months, a retractable waterproof awning is the best option. You can commit to your evening dinner alfresco, even if the weather looks a bit doubtful, and create a cool and inviting outdoor area during the day while still having an area that’s light and bright for entertaining.

Awnings and shades. A waterproof awning by Outrigger Awnings and Sails makes this outdoor area cool and comfortable without making the space dark.
