    It is recycled glass. If you click on the green "view photo" beneath the image, the designer says "We used a recycled glass counter for the peninsula that includes pieces of the glass backsplash tile in the mix. This beautiful and durable product is made by local "green" supplier Concrete Interiors."

    P.S. I was totally going to guess quartz before I read that! It is really striking!
