These are custom fabricated solid timber framed windows. I am sure a window fabricator in the States could make them.

Sunny spot. Who doesn’t love curling up in a sunny spot for a quick power nap (which, let’s be honest, usually turns into a longer snooze)? This inviting corner boasts all the essential ingredients to ensure a refreshing nap: a comfy seat-turned-impromptu-mattress, plush pillows, a soft and snuggly throw to drape over your body as you doze and a picturesque, leafy view that offers a soothing sight before you close your eyes.

Vinyl or leather seat coverings mean pets and children are always welcome, and that means more stress-free time for you.See more of this house

Ease into relaxation. Sometimes simply lying down for a nap is not enough to drift off. If you know you could use a nap but your body is resisting, here are a few things to try:Sit in a sunny window or another warm spot for five minutes.Do a few slow, gentle stretches.Sip warm tea.Kick off your shoes and cover your legs with a blanket.Read a few pages from a complicated novel or a boring nonfiction book.

“Vinyl or leather seat coverings mean pets and children are always welcome, and that means more stress-free time for you.” — Joanna ToviaI don’t know when vinyl started to get a bad rap, but it’s undeserved. Today so many vinyls look just like leather or come embossed with cool patterns — and, best of all, vinyl is easy to clean whether mud, grape jelly or wine gets on it. If you need something reupholstered because it couldn’t stand up to your active family, pets or both, consider vinyl.Full story: Cure Your Addiction to ‘Busy’ With a Dreamy Daybed

The timing of the nap is also important. Lack suggests six to eight hours after normal waking, so if you get up at 7 a.m. your optimum nap time is between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.If heading to bed for a nap is inconvenient or if you think you’ll oversleep, create beautiful places around the home that are conducive to a doze — a north-facing, sun-drenched window seat outfitted with cushions or throws, for example.
