The doors to this master suite are one of a kind. We took panels from Indonesia the homeowners found in their travels. We framed them and made them into barn style doors that let gentle light in from the bedroom area. It's luxurious, sophisticated and eclectic as many of the spaces the homeowners lived in abroad. There is a large luxe curbless shower, a private water closet, fireplace and TV. They also have a walk-in closet with abundant storage full of special spaces.
The doors to this master suite were custom made from panels from Indonesia. They are barn style and enter into the bedroom section of the suite.

This unique project has heavy Asian influences due to the owner’s strong connection to Indonesia, along with a Mountain West flare creating a unique and rustic contemporary composition. This mountain contemporary residence is tucked into a mature ponderosa forest in the beautiful high desert of Flagstaff, Arizona. The site was instrumental on the development of our form and structure in early design. The 60 to 100 foot towering ponderosas on the site heavily impacted the location and form of the structure. The Asian influence combined with the vertical forms of the existing ponderosa forest led to the Flagstaff House trending towards a horizontal theme.

The Maya Collection is a modular seating system comprising a number of pieces that can be configured in multiple variations, allowing for endless possibilities of composition and dimension.
Highly versatile and scalable, it is ideal for large public spaces such as the open areas by the poolside, loggia, or smaller configurations to fit a terrace or veranda. The pieces can be easily and quickly rearranged to fit the space, function or event, making it as intimate or as large scaled as necessary. The pieces can be made into configurations as simple as a love seat or large daybed, to large seating configurations that can be made to accommodate “parties” large or small.
The low profile of its modular design with wide (6") wrap around armrest provides functionality with ample space for drinks yet sturdy enough to be sat or leaned on, a feature that many will find readily appealing for casual parties and events.
The Maya 6 pc Deep Seating Teak Set features:
1 left sectional, 1 Corner Sectional, 2 slipper chairs, 1 ottoman/coffee table (cushion not included for the ottoman), and 1 side table.
Cushions made with Quick Dry Foam® core and 100% solution dyed Sunbrella fabrics.
Crafted with SVLK certified Grade A Teak, harvested from sustainable plantations in Indonesia. Every piece is precision manufactured to standard specifications for commercial and residential use. Optional Teak Finishes available.

This is the entry that the world sees in books from the Gamble House, Pasadena, by Greene and Greene, in 1908. It's Beautiful. It's Stunning. and when you get there, you can't believe how really dark it is. The photograph is a tour-de-force of technical prowess and lighting. I have to tell you that I've shot a LOT of houses and buildings, and this little entry took more light than I've ever used in any other photograph I've made in my life. That wood just eats up the light... If I remember right, it took 80,000 -100,000 watts of light to get what I needed in this image. By Paul Kiler 2004

Also known as the David B. Gamble House was constructed around 1908 to be used as a winter home for the Gamble Family.
The mild climate of Southern California along with a spaciousness of the west made this area of Pasadena an attractive retreat for the well to do from the harsh cold winters of the East. Modest in it size by today’s standards of what a single family home should feel like for an affluent family. The Gamble House has been referred to as the archetypical American Art and Craftsman example of architecture and response to the formal highly ornate Victorian aesthetic. A complete contradiction to all things spindly, covered in paint with line that mirror those of ancient Greece, the American Art and Craftsman movement was made popular by furniture designer and publisher Gustav Stickely during the early 1900’s.
