Small city garden

Contemporary Landscape, Amsterdam

This small city garden in Amsterdam is designed like an outdoor living room. A small shed with green roof provides for some storage room. The seat in the corner is covered with a canvas. The canvas is stretched between a wooden pergola construction with four small spots. The pergola also serves as a climbing construction for a star jasmine. The front part of the garden is green, to ensure a garden feel. This part is covered with (partly evergreen) perennials. A small bridge over the pond connects the upper living room with the garden downstairs. Arjan Boekel
