His creative ideas regarding passive solar heating meshed right in with my less-educated desires. The end result is an Energy Star certified home with passive solar heating and active solar water heating .... and it looks good too!!!!”

“Stephen adapted a stock plan for our house, which we called the Fieldstream. The in-office process was focused and creative, while the follow up and plan completion was perhaps a bit less timely. Nevertheless, the result in terms of functionality, flow, and great touches like the desk nook was great.”

“Ms. Gillette does excellent work. I told her I wanted a screened-in porch added to the back of my house, and she listened carefully, came for a site visit, then drew up plans according to what I was looking for. We tweaked it a time or two, and she made me three copies of the plans for my contractor and for permitting. Contractor was most impressed with the quality. Because he wasn't able to build within the time I had available, the contractor ultimately did not take the job. But the plans were lovely, reasonably priced, and very professionally done.”

“We were in the market for a complete remodel of our existing home....Mullikin and Stevens provided us with a very pleasant experience, starting with the first draft of our plans to the last detail of our construction. They were extremely knowledgable in all areas but I was most impressed with the lighting details in our home. The color schematics were well chosen and they even assisted us in furniture selections and placements. The cabinets, flooring and even the plumbing fixtures selections were all carefully thought out and the results were lovely. We have been very pleased with the results. The general contractor thought they were very easy to work with and also would recommend them. They helped us to stay close to budget but let us know when there was a need to spend more on certain items. My husband and I both enjoyed our experience and would recommend them without any hesitation.”

“After many hours of research in finding the perfect company to draw up my dream home vision from scratch, I found GFD Architectural design. As an interior designer/home stager I know more than the average consumer about design and some aspects of build, so any fluff talk or misleading information wouldn't get by me :) During our initial conversation over the phone, I was immediately impressed with the warm professionalism that the company owner/lead designer Frank Dollar displayed. He obviously was an expert in his field. Throughout the project he worked diligently and promptly, making sure that I was fully aware of the aspects of each stage in the design process. Not to mention his knowledge of carpentry and building came in handy when deciding on design options that could have proven to be more costly during construction. I highly recommend Frank Dollar and GFD design to all those seeking a professional, personable and creative architectural designer and consultant. Love Love and will post pictures when the project is complete!”

“Bob did a great job! My wife and I were needing some modifications to a house plan that we found online but were having difficulties finding someone that could do it for a reasonable price. The website wanted to charge us 3 times the amount the plan actually cost to buy and every architecture firm we called in town was going to charge us thousands if they were even willing to talk to us. I somehow managed to come across Bob and Studio:e and it worked out great. Bob was able to recreate the floor plan we desired and was accommodating to every request we had (whether small and unnecessary). The project was completed in about 2 weeks, much quicker than we desired, and cost tremendously less than every other option we could find. Bob was exactly on the budget we discussed when we first met. I would highly recommend Bob to someone who is interested in building and wants to have a house plan drafted/modified without hiring an entire architecture firm.”
