I'm a home owner evaluating the feasibility of renovating our home. I've never renovated a residential property. Monarcha was instrumental in helping me understand industry standard costs estimates for work that I'm considering and answered many related questions. I enjoyed working with Monarcha and would highly recommend her to home owners considering a complete or partial home renovation. If you want to become educated in this critical element of the renovation process, reach out to Monarcha. Her fees are a small price to pay to increase your knowledge and confidence of managing the process.

Comment from Adventure in Building, Inc.:
Wes was a great Client and very patient with my elaborations on the details of his project. Just to clarify, his project was not in the $1,000 - $9,999 range, as it was a whole house remodel. .I believe that choice was selected to be a placeholder for consulting fee for Adventure in Building for the service we provided.

2nd time in four years we used Monarcha. Her scope of work proposals show what more (than my initial thought) needs to be done and how to be doing. with spec’s and internet-gleaned suggestions for fixtures and appliances, help fix our minds and our budgets. Of myriad contractors she vetted a few with credentials and willing to talk in “age in place” requirements; e.g., why GFCI or “tamperproof” for duplex outlets. e.g., attending the house calls for walk-in tub helped sort the installers’ $$ and responsibilities in the sales reps’ contracts.
Earlier project moving bedrooms' interior walls, bathroom slab trenching to bring third of house into compliance with ADA /universal design guides. Recent project up-modding 44yrold kitchen and bath. Many more chances interference to household normalcy.
Having the liaison well worth the outcomes.

Monarcha is one of the most knowledgeable people I've had the privilege to work with in regards to the home building industry. She is very professional, extremely fair and always easy to get along with. I look forward to working with her in the future and highly recommend her services.

We hired this company to design a remodeling of our 25 year old kitchen where only 1 person could work at a time. We were basically removing everything and starting over. Our only constraint was keeping the overall size of the kitchen the same.
We also had some specific requirements since we have a family member that uses a wheelchair and we also wanted the kitchen to be designed for our own ease as we age. Monarcha did 3 complete designs, all 3 creatively different while still meeting our needs. We selected the one we liked best and then she found 3 builders that she trusted to bid on the job and we used 1 of the three builders and he was also great. The kitchen turned out perfect, great access, and use of space so that multiple people can work at the same time. A real success story.

Completed a complete bathroom design to make the home handicapped accessible. Helped managed the process and final transition to the homeowner. Her design has allowed this woman to remain her home with minimal support from our professional caregivers.

Commented: Red brick exterior updateBe careful about painting (scraping etc) in a home built prior to 1978. The EPA has guidelines for LEAD paint. BTW, if the deco brick is original to the house I say keep it.

Commented: Which is installed first , brick floor or beaded board and bases?Belinda1zoe, I think MyVisualHome was suggesting that my comment (as Adventure in Building) was a good compromise. And by the way, I am a licensed building contractor in Florida (since 1984).
