Design Solutions:FORE

I'll start with she charged me $25 just to write and mail me a refund check! I'm not talking about a summary of my charges (which she was going to charge me for), this was just to write a check. Other than that, if you want someone to argue with as your attempting to get what you want from a design instead of what she wants... this is your person. Oh, and the arguing is charged for! She had some great ideas, some of which we'll use, but others ideas weren't what we wanted and in fact were not technically accurate. The first contractor I talked to contradicted one of her major construction claims in seconds with an easily described method how to complete the task without removing my roof ( a point she argued extensively). Anyhow, I did get a drawing, without any summary of the cost and lots of contested discussion for $900. I wanted someone to present ideas. She did exactally that. What I didn't want was a 10 minute arguement every time I disagreed with one of the ideas.

We remodeled a home built in 1883 with help from Ronna Freeland. Thanks to her creative design solutions, our contractor was able to build a master bathroom (incl. a shower and clawfoot tub) and laundry room on the upper floor and a mud room on the main floor while adding merely 600 square feet to the home. We are thrilled to gain a lot in little space. Ronna also designed a wrap around back porch that maintains the home's original character. The renovation was a great experience.

Ronna was very creative and excellent to work with. She worked with my HOA Board (Milford's Heritage Hill) on a new subdivision entrance sign. We are thrilled with how it turned out. Thank you very much!!

We had a great experience working with Ronna on our deck / sunroom addition. She helped educate us and provided solid advice. We expected a standard deck plan but she added an unexpected bump-out for protected seating (sided to match the main structure) which helped to balance the overall design. She was prompt and reliable and we'll be using her for our up coming new house design project.

It was very nice working with Ronna she listened to what we envisioned in our soon to be new house. The house is exactly what we wanted and even beat our expectations with no wasted space. very happy

We had the pleasure of working with Ronna in completing our master bath design. She drew up solutions for us that maximized our existing space without major changes in structure. She also recommended products that were previously unknown by us but made a huge impact in our new space. We will definitely consider consulting with her again on new projects.

We started out wanting to add a dinning room to our home and make our kitchen bigger, but we had obstacles in our way, a leach field from our septic, a room on the back our home that had a bump out to contend with. She listened to what we wanted and created us prints of what we were looking for. We were very pleased with her response timing and also her helpful hints/ideas to make do things more affordable. Although our plans didn't come to fruition due to the estimates we received back from contractor which the cost out weighted the cost of our home, we were very happy with the plans she created for us. Also the contactors were impressed with the how much detail she incorporated into her plans, it made it easy for them to bid the project.

I was so impressed with Design Solutions:FORE after seeing some of the homes Ronna Freeland designed nearby. Her new constructions have so much character and she has a talent for seamlessly matching new additions to older homes. We hired Ronna as a consultant to help us chose colors, lighting and siding choices for a whole house exterior face-lift. The color combinations she chose and her suggestions about mixing vertical and horizontal siding materials really helped us maximize our house's strengths and minimize its weaknesses in a very budget conscious way. It was a pleasure working with her!

I have had the opportunity to work with Rona on a totally remodel and design house, the project was completed to my complete satisfaction, she brought tremendous experience and resources , she is also very collaborative and attentive to the needs of the client . No matter how big or how small the scope, she will accommodate any need with the utmost professionalism . I highly recommended her services .

We found Ronna through this website; we don't know anyone who has used her for a full project. Based only on Houzz, we liked what we saw and set up a consultation. She did have some really good ideas. Unfortunately, however, we didn't ask about her terms until after we had spent two weeks trying to schedule a consultation, and hour and a half on a consultation, and paid her consultation fee. After all that, when we tried to hire her she presented us with a contract that was amazingly one-sided, requiring a substantial down payment but completely insulating her from any liability for problems with her design or non-performance. We asked her about modifying some of the language and she wasn't interested. Bottom line: before you do a paid consultation with her (or anyone), ask about terms and take a look at the contract you'll be asked to sign.

I wasn't sure what to do with my foyer it is so small but I wanted to dress it up. Ronna came up with the right color and recommendations for the chandelier that really give my foyer more presence. Now we have a great entrance. She also advised us and drew plans for 2 bathroom remodels. Both turned out fantastic. The construction company said she made it super easy for them to bid on it and not go over. Plus, they didn't encounter any problems because all the details were thought through from beginning to end. It is amazing how bigger the bathrooms look. We love them!

Ronna Freeland, of Design Solutions FORE, is a highly knowledgeable and experienced designer and architect. My intent was to ask for her guidance in choosing full-house replacement windows, exterior paint color, roofing, and front door color. My goal was that my home would look unique, but would maintain the style of the neighborhood. Ronna did a masterful job of combining my taste with just the right combination of color, texture, and style. Upon being impressed with Ronna's creative ideas for the exterior of my home, I asked her to walk through the interior and provide me with ideas for updating. She was able to envision beauty and see potential that was well beyond my skill set. Her architectural knowledge has been a particular asset when combined with her design techniques. I have moved forward with affordable but significant changes that have transformed my home into a very stylish, inviting, and warm environment. Ronna has been able to work within a budget and will assist in looking for just the right items to pull a look together. She is well-versed in various resources for window treatments, rugs, paint, and decorative accessories. She works well with other professionals to pull an idea together, place an order, and complete a project. As if her talents are not enough, Ronna Freeland, is a genuine, kind, hard-working, and very likeable person. I highly recommend this professional.
