Michael Wike designs houses that make the most of the dramatic Mendocino coastline. Many of his projects are bluff-top, where the challenge is to accentuate the views and provide comfortable living in a climate which can be windy at times. We asked for an indoor-outdoor house that was both cozy and spectacular - and we got both. Michael has a real affinity for the coast where he lives, and understands the colors, textures, climate and potential. He was easy to work with and quite inspirational in turning his design into a lovely home that fits the landscape. He is passionate about his creation, and yet practical in working within a budget that we could afford. My wife and I could not recommend him more highly for a seaside project of this kind.

Mark and Cathy brought experience in building their homes with them but not often with such specific requirements for fitting their ideas into an existing development community like The Sea Ranch. However, with great communications between us, the SR Design Committee, the builder, Rich Fredrickson, and the interior designer, Tamara Embree Designs, we were able to create a fairly seamless solution to all the needs required and still come up with an extremely well built and wonderfully comfortable living space that took full advantage of its ocean front location and neighboring homes. It was a pleasure to work with you both and thank you for your kind comments!
