Pearl was extremely valuable during our 7-month renovation! We were living out of state during the first few months of the reno and she kept us updated with status emails, phone calls, and on a timeline. I would email my likes and preferences from viewing Houzz photos and she understood exactly what I wanted. She would interpret my vision into actual ideas and suggestions. thank you so much! David Pelletier and Pearl Schaar have played a key role in 3 projects I have built on Camano Island. In choosing any Architect, you have to recognize their "style" and work from there. I appreciate their "style" of design and they are very easy to work with. My projects all involved Shoreline Permits and Archeological Permits, which David and Pearl are very familiar with... Their level of detail can be tailored to your needs and experience. You always ask the simple question: Would you use them again... ABSOLUTELY !!!

I can’t say enough about what a pleasure it is (and continues to be) working with Pearl Schaar of Pelletier and Schaar. She has been instrumental with her design consultations from kitchen cabinet paint colors to wall colors throughout our home. The vision she had for our great room is what made our house a home. Her design plan for our master bathroom was phenomenal. She is dedicated and so easygoing to work with; all the way down to helping shop for furniture and area rugs to define spaces. We get complements all the time when people come over about how nice everything looks, and I credit it to Pearl. She truly cares for your happiness. Pearl's passion and love for architecture and design is apparent in every design she has ever done for us. Her unique approach and understanding of space, light, color, and functionality together with ambience and comfort is such a treasure! Several friends and guests have oohed and awed over my home and requested the name of the architect because they "just couldn't get over the feeling they had when in my home, simple design touches that create such a fabulous space". We would highly recommend Pearl to anybody lucky enough to get onto her schedule.

My husband and I recently enlisted the services of Pelletier + Schaar for a remodel we are set to begin in the Spring of 2017. We have had such a great experience, especially for being our first time venturing into using an architectural firm. David did a great job on our beach home from the initial planning process, to design and helping obtain permits. He worked with my wife and I and was very professional and made the whole project very easy. He gave us great recomendations for contractors and was very easy to work with on any changes. We worked with Pelletier and Schaar to remodel a house on our property. When it was determined that was an impossible task, the house was demolished and a new structure was designed for the site. The charge was to replicate the feel of the old house (a Frank Lloyd Wright influenced structure), save the 60 year old landscaping and drop a new house on the foot print of the old. We succeeded beyond our wildest expectations. Pearl was so patient with us in working through the seemingly endless problems that we encounted on our way to that goal.

Pearl Schaar and David Pelletier provided us with a great experience from the initial top-level planning through the engineering review of our 4000+sq. ft. waterfront home on Camano Island. We worked together as a team, sometimes through a careful and deliberate process, other times through brainstorming and thinking out of the box to accomplish our end goals for our home. They guided and took direction from us as well. In retrospect, I believe the primary impact they had in providing the house we wanted was the education they provided regarding natural materials and flow. We learned and gained in the process.
