Loved working with Pat for our large remodel of a 1920s home where we wanted it to be updated but maintain the traditional character. She listened to our ideas but also giving us ideas and options, as design and remodeling was a new adventure for us. She was responsiveness and worked well with our contractor and engineer. Would highly recommend and will use on future projects.

I used Patricia to help create some drawings for a remodel idea in my house. I had a lot of wasted space, so I met with Patricia who saw my vision and was able to put it into construction plans. She also came up with some great ideas of her own that allowed me to add a 1/2 bathroom and pantry with minimal work or cost. She is amazing!! I have recommended her to friends in the past and highly recommend her for anyone wanting help with drawings.

Pat has designed a number of homes of which I have lived in or have built for sale along with the structural engineer, Everything worked well as planned I can say for sure the design department is a real value as I have built other architect drawn homes that cost much more to build , not to mention the design fees. Our family suffered a house fire which resulted in a complete tear down and re-build. Having no experience with designing and building a new house, we turned to family members who had recently built a beautiful new house in Portland. They gave us the contact information for Pat Sauer at the Design Department in Lake Oswego. Pat met us at the building site, and we immediately liked the way she talked about the re-build project. She listened to our input on what we liked about the old house and what changes we could make with the new design. We signed a contract with Pat, and she produced a set of drawings on the schedule she gave us. The submittal process involved coordinating with the city and the mechanical engineer. Pat was always available to work through any issues. We never felt like we were on our own with the re-build. After we moved back in, strangers would stop on the street to tell us how much they liked the design of the new house. We are very happy with the design services that Pat provided and do not hesitate to recommend the Design Department to any family and friends (or people passing by) looking for a residential building designer.

We were looking at a potential attic addition project. Pat was great to work with. She was punctual and a great communicator. She spent an hour with us for consultation. Even though it became apparent very quickly that this was not a feasible project in our budget, she stuck around to help us with some other questions we had. She seemed vey knowledgable and patiently answered our questions which will help us move forward with some other repairs and projects. She also gave us a list of some recommended engineers and contractors. We were very happy with our experience and would recommend her for any project.

Pat designed my ADU, a small house (820 sq feet) built on my daughter and son-in-laws property. I wanted to build a small house in preparation for my retirement - having no mortgage was important to me. Equally important was that my small home had the "feel" of spaciousness, allowed me a full kitchen and living space. Pat was amazing. Our first conversation, as I am reviewing with her those home features that were most important to me, she was already designing and incorporating my wishes into the design. Pat is amazing to work with, and produces designs that reflect wishes and also reality. My ADU is not finished and I have moved in - and I am delighted with my new space. It is beautiful, feels like a garden home, affords me all the space I requested. My daughter and I are using Pat again for a remodel of my daughter's home. I would highly recommend Pat!

Pat came recommended by the builder we selected who had years of experience working with her over many projects. We really enjoyed working with her during the design and planning of our custom home. She is a great communicator and helped us through a very complicated process to achieve a result that was beyond our dreams. She is very detail oriented and completed her tasks quickly.
