Totem Studio Architects

The roots of our practice were founded here in Christchurch in 1922 by W.H. Trengrove. Over the subsequent generations, Trengrove Architects became an integral part of the city’s architectural landscape. We have recently been renamed Totem Studio Architects a banner head that encompasses our "Unique to You" philosophy, our deep roots and long history as a practice, acknowledges our connection to craft and to our landscape and our inclusive studio work environment. Our architecture is in every instance uniquely centered on our client, on understanding their particular needs and surpassing their expectations. We take great satisfaction in the pride our clients show in their new home or workplace. Our directors Daryl, David and Ian provide a wealth of experience and expertise, ably supported by our dedicated staff of architects, designers, and technicians, bringing forward-thinking innovations and fresh ideas to each new project.
