As an independent interior designer, I have collaborated and teamed up with Wildman Chalmers on several projects over the years. Heather and Chad are exemplary architects and design professionals who bring a wide array of experience, creativity and professionalism to every project. They listen well, offer thoughtful solutions and respect budgetary parameters. Wildman Chalmers is an exceptional architecture firm. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. Heather Wildman led our project. She is brilliant. She exceeded every expectation my husband and I had for our home renovation. No detail went overlooked and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.

We did an addition and renovation of our 100 year old house. We added a kitchen on the back of the house and turned the original kitchen into a mudroom and powder room. Great experience overall with Wildman-Chalmers. They took my input and ideas and made suggestions to make it happen. They were easy to communicate with and made sure the project stayed on track. My experience with Chad Chalmers of Wildman Chalmers was truly outstanding. I wanted to completely redo my kitchen and powder room in a house that is 120 years old. Chad is very familiar with this type of renovation so his experience was invaluable in preparing me for such a significant challenge. He is personable, has great ideas, and went out of his way to listen to what was important to me on the project. He provided an excellent up front overview of the process that his firm follows. As the project took shape, he was quick to suggest alternatives when a particular option was too costly or had complications that I didn't anticipate. He was very patient in providing explanations in layman's terms so that I could easily understand the stages and chronology of the project and the implications of the choices that I had to make. I'm very pleased with the choice that I made and give he and his firm the highest recommendation.

Working with Wildman Chalmers Designs has been the best part about building our addition. Our large project involved integrating custom timber framing into the addition, along with a complete remodel of the existing interior and exterior of our home. I originally sought out an architect that could not only coordinate the design activities, but also seamlessly work with the various skilled functions such as structural engineering, custom timber framing, the local zoning board, and civil engineering involved in the design and planning of this project. I absolutely found that in Chad Chalmers and his team at Wildman Chalmers Design. Wildman Chalmers encouraged us to understand how to best integrate the immediate and long-term needs of our family into the design, and thus elevated and improved upon our initial vision for our home. Moreover, Chad and his team provided exceptional value. The project team was always conscientious and transparent throughout the project. They provided council on how design decisions impact cost, and always remained grounded in the overall construction budget. Chad and his team are easy to work with, and communicate clearly by email, drawings, and phone, providing thoughtful guidance throughout the design process as well as lending a supportive shoulder through some of the more challenging steps. One of the areas I most appreciate about Wildman Chalmers Designs is that they leverage an “agile design process” encouraging flexibility and speed in responding to change throughout the project. This empowered us to quickly coalesce various ideas and concepts into the final product. Chad was a great partner for our major house renovation project. He walked into the project after several hands had been in it, and turned out a fabulous design that gets raves whenever anyone enters the house. He was very easy to work with, delivered the plans when he said he would, and our contractor was able to use the plans with roughly no additional work. The house had a challenge: how to support an existing roof structure and add a new, higher roof structure. Lots of ideas were proposed and discarded. When we settled on the answer, it became a statement in the design that anchors the structure, physically and visually. Chad's design is honest, artfully simple, and met our expectations and then some. Highly recommended!

We used Wildman Chalmers to design a new wine room and custom fireplace surround in the renovation of our circa 1900 colonial revival home. We wanted our spaces to look like fresh versions of vintage designs.
