About Us

Beginning his career as an artist in Chicago, Will DuBose was influenced by both design and architecture: the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, the collages of Romare Bearden and the paintings of Archibald Motley all force his hand to create great spaces and vivid, embracing interiors. William received his Masters of Architecture at the University of Michigan, with studies completed at Oxford University and Morehouse College. He has taught design at Pratt Institute and Stony Brook University, while running his Brooklyn-based design practice. Highlights + Finished Work + Work Pending: + Designer for HGTV's budget design show Freestyle + Partnered with Dhani Jones (of the Cincinnati Bengals) for numerous projects, including the design of a Costa Rican eco-retreat. + Prepared designs and proposal for work at the residence of Hip Hop Mogul and Businessman, "Diddy" Sean Combs Since its inception, Will DuBose Design has completed over 50 projects in New York City and surrounding areas. Work thus far includes: retail, office design, residential, entertainment. Contact us for information on how we can help you achieve great design. Will was able to bring my vision to life. He is extremely talented and thorough and paid attention to every minor detail. He turned my outdated bathroom into a very modern, chic environment which feels like a spa. If you have an idea of what you would like to create in your home/commercial space, Will is the guy that will turn that vision into reality.

Will DuBose Design is a special small business simply because of Will DuBose. Referred by another architect, Will's professionalism and his competence as an architect are two of the first impressions that continue to grow over time. With our tricky Reno of our beloved Colonial revival home in a historic district, Will brought an immediate vision and awareness of our budget. He also served as a strong, savvy manager with our experienced, particular contractor. Some of our favourite! Results of working with Will have been complimented repeatedly, especially our unique industrial Copper metallic Kitchen tile that warmed our kitchen in an extraordinary way. A special bonus is his vision that adapts with you in brainstorming sessions, and he provides mock-up visuals that are truly amazing and helpful, while being timely. We highly recommend him-- proudly. He will be our architect on our next project, also. Of course!

We needed to fully guy renovate our 4-story townhouse in brooklyn and hired Will as our architect. he had so many creative ideas that we had not thought about, and that made our place much more unique and tailored to our lifestyle. Will is responsive, attentive, friendly, and creative. He also is respectful with clients who have strong opinions like us! We have. Beautiful new house and are so thankful for Wil.

We purchased a home in Greenwich, CT. that was in need of a full renovation. Will personally made numerous trips to the property pre-purchase to help with floor plans, FFE and all facets of the project. Will was unbelievable to work with and took his design cues from both my wife and I to create a home that we will both love!

Will came up with a sleek design to modernize two one-bedroom Brooklyn brownstone apartments that lost all original details in unfortunate fire into two two-bedroom units that are sexy, sleek, new, still cozy and now at a higher rental price point. Always punctual, he's a pleasure to work with in a business that is always full of anxiety. He helps makes renovation a peaceful and joyful process.
