Allison Cosmos

Allison created a wonderful, large custom 66” x 40” abstract art piece for our new home. Having seen one of her designs in a publication, we reached out to her to see if we could collaborate on a piece for which we had specific ideas in mind. She was very willing to work with us and amenable to incorporating our vision/color scheme and suggesting great ideas along the way. Being on opposite coasts, the process could have been difficult, but Allison made it so easy. Mainly discussing via email, mail, and phone, sharing samples and colors, she put us at ease throughout the entire process. She truly brought our vision to fruition with her own creativity and the end result was even better than we could have ever imagined. Her work is absolutely phenomenal and speaks for itself, but most importantly she is a true, customer service- oriented professional whom we would wholeheartedly recommend. Thanks, Allison!

Allison Cosmos is not just an amazingly talented artist, she is also the consummate professional. I have been working with her for four years. Her personality makes her a joy to know, and her attitude is GOLD! She is an absolute gem to work with. She takes direction extremely well. Her range seems limitless to me. I have had her do abstract pieces in black and white, color and even gilt. She never fails to perform on time, and just when I think I have seen her best work, she makes the current piece even better. I highly recommend her as a person, and immense artistic talent. I truly think her potential is unlimited.

I have employed Allison at two of our homes, and both times she has done an amazing job transforming our hideous kitchen cabinets into beautiful cabinets. We did not want to replace the cabinets in either home, because we liked the overall kitchen layout and did not want to incur the time and expense involved in buying new cabinets. So we hired Allison, who very quickly (and very professionally) turned our cabinets into works of art--people who see them now are bowled over, and can't believe that they are the same cabinets. We also hired Allison to work on our bathroom cabinets, a large built-in bookcase, and a fireplace, transforming each of these items into beautiful pieces that really "wow" people. She is extremely pleasant, hardworking, very fastidious, and has a great eye for color and detail. She is also not afraid to express her opinion when she thinks that you might be going astray, which is a great thing, since she prevents you from making very expensive mistakes. We would give her 10 stars, if possible!

Alison painted an antique dresser I had to match a crib in my daughter's bedroom. Together we worked on designing a beautiful monogram that she painted on the top of the dresser. She is a talented artist with fair pricing. I would hire her for another project in a heart beat. I highly recommend her.

As a professional kitchen and bath designer, I have very high standards for finish work. When I hire someone, I am putting my own reputation on the line. Allison Cosmos exceeded all my highest expectations. She is an incredibly talented artist. She painted a shell motif on a cabinet door in my showroom and it is a work of art! Her furniture painting is equally good. I hired her to refinish a client's old oak table. She matched our colors perfectly and made the table look so expensive. Allison's hourly rate might seem high at first--but when you factor in her speed, skill, and professionalism, it is a bargain. I look forward to working with her again and I would recommend her to anyone who needs decorative painting for their home or business.

Allison is one of the most professional individuals with whom i have had the privilege of working and collaborating. Extraordinary work product! She is a perfectionist and uber talented! I choose her for every one of my projects that involves art and have never been anything other than thrilled.

Allison was easy to work with and very trustworthy. My wine closet turned out far better than I expected and have enjoy it every time I open the door. I love that it does not have anything to do with a grape theme, but still is perfect for a wine cellar or closet etc. The twin beds and the cabinet she painted have also been conversation pieces. She is very talented and can bring new life to furniture and walls, the ides and possibilities are endless.

The Fresh Market worked with Allison on a mural project for our store in Lake Forest, IL. After collaborating on the initial layout and design, Allison created a small painting to illustrate the mural giving out internal clients peace of mind she know what she was doing. After the small painting was approved she got to work creating a beautiful mural at out store in time for the Grand Opening. We couldn't be happier with the results and with Allison's artistry and professionalism.

We've worked with Allison on several projects for our restaurant group in North Carolina (Darryl's, Marshall Free House, Pig Pounder Brewery, and Burger Warfare). She painted custom artwork, pub signs, glass and murals. She was very thorough and always prepared on the job site. We've worked with other artists and the differences are 1) Allison is efficient with her time, 2) she thinks through projects and comes prepared, 3) she's very precise and her artwork reflects that attention to detail, and 4) she's extremely creative. We will continue to work with Allison on new projects. We've also worked with her remotely where she's able to create artwork templates, specify paints and materials, and coordinate other painters. Highly recommended.

Allison is a highly talented decorative artist who brings a wealth of ideas, technical skill and enthusiasm to the project. She can take a nugget of an idea and expand it into a beautifully realized work of art. All this, and she remains a delightful person to work with too, whether on a one-to-one basis or as a service provider for a client.
