About Us

Konnichiwa, my name is Miho Kanamori, My family owned a Kimono Shop in the early 1900's near Tokyo and I have been living with Kimono all my life. I created Wa-Dakara in order to share my passion and to preserve our "Japanese Human Treasure”. Wa-Dakara "Tatami-Komi" demonstrates the beauty of Kimono as an Artful feature in reception and living areas of homes and offices world-wide. "Tatami-Komi" highlights the key design area of the Kimono and does so without dismantling, cutting or damaging the precious Kimono. The entire Kimono is therefore preserved within a Patented System I especially developed for the purpose. Each piece is individually selected by me and carries the Wa-Dakara registered seal and certificate of authenticity. Wa-Dakara Kimono are 100% Silk. Wa-Dakara "Kimono Art” is made only in Japan. Please enjoy and preserve "Human Treasure". Miho Kanamori
