Thanks so much for your honest feedback, Loretta. Occasionally, our custom design services aren’t a good fit for our clients or potential clients, and it sounds like that was the case here. We would have loved to try to make things right, but when we attempted to invite you back to the design table with us, you had already hired a new design company.

For anyone who reads this review, we feel that it’s important to provide some context:
If we had known that you only wanted us to draft the drawing you presented to us, then we would have referred you to a drafter who could have provided that service. We use sketches, photos, and links that our clients provide, to create a design which works with the topography, views, solar angles, and any pervasive wind. We then present the first initial design concept as a starting-point, and then receive feedback from the client to modify or create a new concept. We continue this cycle until our clients have a design that they can be really proud of. This first design phase is very malleable, which is intended to help clients and the designers to really dial-in the design. However, you chose to not share your confusion or displeasure in the first conceptual design presentation, and instead of giving us the opportunity to modify that first concept, you sent an email letting us know that you wanted to cancel your design agreement. We wish that you would have given us the chance to explain why we had to modify your design as much as we did so that it would work with the topography, and to even create a new concept which may have more closely reflected what your design looked like. It should also be noted that during your design criteria meeting, you told the design team to “use their skills” if anything you drew needed to be re-worked.
