James & Company Antique Timbers and Flooring

We purchased beams from James & Company for the addition to our home. Their staff kiln-dried them, as we requested. Without realizing it, we had selected one beam that was treated with creosote. We called and explained the situation and they swapped the beam for us without any hesitation. They didn't have to do this, as the mistake was ours. I highly recommend James & Company for reclaimed and antique wood and construction products.

They maintain a huge inventory of fine rare lumber at very fair pricing and are unfailingly helpful to work with. They are very knowledgeable about a wide variety of species and their application. A neighbor in California saw the lumber and is making an order now. To be honest I do not look anywhere else.
