I originally went to Nicolette for input for my kitchen that I was going to remodel. She was so helpful and knowledgeable that I went with her to design my kitchen. Best decision ever. I had an idea of what my kitchen would look like and the one I have is completely different, but so much better; more efficient, lighter, brighter and easier to work in. I gave her a rule that I wanted my kitchen to have a 2-3 step rule between sink, refrigerator, and stove and my kitchen layout met that requirement. Nicolette held my hand during the whole process (first time remodeler) and gave great advice and was also very honest with what I could accomplish in my space. Then Mark came and installed my cabinets--he is a true craftsman. The cabinets are beautiful and the care he took to make sure they were level and the work he did on the peninsula was top level. I cannot recommend this company strongly enough for any remodeling needs you have. It was a wonderful experience for me!

Nicolette took my sketch of new kitchen and *poof* turned it into a workable design. I had two others in consideration. My heart wanted to go with the lone artist/woodworker, but my instinct went with Arcata Cabinet because it looked like it would not only be more efficient, but just as kind to me and adaptive to my desires -- at less cost. Although, of course, not quite as custom. Even working during the pandemic, it turned out to be a good call.

Arcata Cabinet & Design created a kitchen beyond my wildest dreams. Nicolette worked with us from start to finish and really enabled us to envision the possibilities. My once tiny kitchen has become a real showstopper. We removed a wall and Nicolette was able to design a completely new layout that is so beautiful and functional. Very, very easy to work with. The installation was also impeccable. Nicolette made a huge undertaking so much easier for us and we are forever grateful.

Cannot say enough wonderful comments about arcata cabinet. We recently remodeled our kitchen. Nicolette worked with me from beginning to end. She is experienced, competent and wonderful to work with. Casey who installed was meticulous , a real perfectionist and hard worker. When we had a couple of doors that were just not quite not plum and a few knobs with faint scratched. They went way above and beyond and replaced free of charge all of them. I could go on. U do not have to worry about arcana cabinet when it comes to quality , workmanship and experience.

Our house was built in 1953, a well built and fairly straightforward craftsman style. The kitchen was the original, having only replaced the counter top formica and adding a dishwasher. We needed more [and more efficient] cabinets, more counter space and a rework of the entry/mudroom and adjacent bathroom. We wanted to do this remodel without removing load bearing walls, and with keeping to the style of the rest of the house. Importantly, we wanted to work with a local company. Nicolette and Arcata Cabinet gave us exactly what we needed and wanted! From her first visit to asses the project, to all the ending details, she listened to us and responded with ideas and solutions that reflected our objectives. Since we were gong to be doing a lot of the work ourselves, we wanted to work with someone who would be comfortable with that dynamic. Nicolette incorporated our ideas along with her own design perspective, guiding us to make better decisions and avoid mistakes. She gave us complete and detailed plans for the cabinet installation, along with accurate pricing at all points along the way. She made numerous visits to the house, responding quickly and professionally. When questions and concerns came up, Nicolette was responsive and provided solutions. All deadlines were accurate and met, and most importably, the quality of the cabinets was great! Additionally, we hired Nicolette to help with counter top and tile selection and design. She was able to translate our tastes into reality, steering us towards the design choices that will last beyond current trends. In closing, we are thrilled with our experience with Nicolette and Arcata Cabinet and Design Co., and couldn't be happier with the end result. We have a kitchen-mudroom-bathroom remodel that will hopefully last another 65 years!

We recently remodeled our kitchen, & Arcata Cabinets played a big part in making it turn out wonderfully. Our house had a kitchen dating from the 1980s, with very little counter space & very poorly designed. Nicolette completely redesigned it--she came over & looked at the space we had to work with, took measurements of everything, & asked us what we were looking for in a kitchen. She came up with a really great layout that gives us alot of counter space & is much easier to actually work in than the previous set-up--and it looks lovely, too. AC&D are very helpful & easy to work with, & they have a nice selection of cabinets to choose from. We will definitely be going back to them again when we do some more work on our house. Highly recommended!

We hired Nicolette to create a new design for our aging kitchen. She came to our home and took the time to get to know us and our preferences. Her careful listening paid off because the outcome is more beautiful, efficient, and spacious than we dared imagine. Her design was a bold departure from the original floor plan, adding a large island and encompassing an adjacent sitting area with a wall of windows into the new kitchen. Brilliant! The finished project is a huge improvement in traffic flow within the kitchen and to the outside, and we have much more storage and counter space. Nicolette advised us throughout the construction process on appliance and fixture selection, all of which have proved to be outstanding choices, thanks to her impeccable taste and attention to detail. The cabinets she provided are beautiful with excellent organization features and functionality. She was available to answer questions and solve minor glitches as they came up, and we greatly appreciated her expertise, communication skills, and experience. Nicolette was sensitive to our budget and style preferences at every decision point and guided us towards the highest quality within our range. She is extremely knowledgeable about everything having to do with the kitchen, and if I asked her a question she didn’t have an answer for, she immediately researched it and got back to me. Always professional and articulate, Nicolette was an invaluable resource. Friends who come and see our kitchen invariably ask who designed it and if they can hire her too. Everyone admires our beautiful new kitchen, including us!

We had Arcata cabinets design and install our kitchen cabinets. They did an excellent job. They were very patient in working with us on the design process and had very good ideas to add to what we in mind. The installation was perfect and quick. As thing go in remodeling there were some small changes that had to be made during the install and they communicated with us very well when issues raised. Arcata Cabinet & Design did an incredible job for me. I live in an old house (1930's). It is small. They installed natural cherry cabinets which are absolutely spectacular! They were amazingly patient with the changes required as the design unfolded. Casey did an impeccable job dealing with the installation in such a tight space. If you are looking for the BEST service, install & product in Humboldt County, Tim and Casey are your guys! They are professional, knowledgeable and have great cabinets. The installer is a perfectionist and takes his time to get the details right. Tim taught me the incredible value in quality work and service. We worked on numerous successful kitchen and bath projects together. Every single client walked away extremely happy. They also work great with contractors & designers.
