I am so happy with our beautiful cabinets! Working with Sam and her team was a great experience. They are very professional and listened carefully which allowed them to help pick the right layout and accessories for our kitchen. They were very patient with the process and were always responsive with questions or concerns or changes in timeline--I really appreciate that level of care and professionalism! The cabinets themselves are gorgeous, they are such high quality! I got quite a few bids before choosing Schmitz and I am SO glad we made the choice to go with them--not just because they are a local company, but because they really went above and beyond with quality and service. Absolutely recommend them!

We ordered all new cabinets for our medium sized kitchen and three bathrooms from Schmitz Woodworks. There were some very tricky aspects to our cabinets, not the least of which included a panel ready refrigerator and dishwasher. A lot of the measurements had to be very exact. Everything came out perfectly! Sam and her crew all went the extra mile in quality and customer service. Everyone who works there is very pleasant and easy to deal with. They were prompt, too. We have been back in our newly remodeled home for almost one year and we are so happy with our cabinetry. Our fabulous contractor (Costa Bella Builders) recommended Schmitz Woodworks of Watsonville. We could not be happier with the quality and beauty of the cabinetry that Schmitz designed and built for us. It is a family business and it shows. Every person in the company we interacted with was pleasant, professional, on time, and honestly seemed to be enjoying their work. We really loved working with Sam; she did an amazing job listening to what we wanted and providing options that met our vision and our price range. She also suggested innovative storage ideas for our kitchen and bathrooms. The woodwork was completed on schedule and on budget. It is absolutely beautiful quality! Dave designed a wonderful fireplace surround with side cabinets to hide our TV equipment and also designed a lovely cabinet and shelves that made a funky space in our living room functional. I had a pretty specific look and design that I wanted for my little kitchen and Schmitz helped me bring it to life! From the beginning of the project to end they were always available, on time and paid attention to every detail, not to mention the quality of their finished product exceeded my expectations! .. and their willingness to work around our schedule and time frame was also much appreciated. Schmitz Woodworks did a great job on my office built-ins cabinetry. I did a preliminary design in Sketchup, and made some basic dimensions for the cabinetry. Then, they created the final detail design and I signed off on that before the build. The build went exactly as planned and they completed the project perfectly. I had a special request to have a mirror on the back of the Murphy bed, to make the space feel more open. While this was an unconventional feature, they engineered it with a matching frame for the mirror and a mounting system that decoupled the stress of the bed from the mirror, so it would not break when the Murphy bed was deployed. I wanted a clean, simple, modern finish which they accomplished quite nicely. Another special feature was a sit-stand desk from Uplift that I wanted to integrate. At Sam's suggestion, I provided the Uplift desktop to Schmitz and they re-finished it in the exact matching white that is used for the rest of the furniture, so it matches great! Overall I would highly recommend Schmitz!

We're just getting settled into the coastal home we remodeled with Seacliff Construction but want to give a shout out before more time has past to Schmitz Woodworks for the beautiful cabinetry we enjoy every time we enter a room! Schmitz Woodworks is a pleasure to work with in every way from design to creation to installation. Sam seemed to instinctively know our vision and suggested material and drawer mechanics we'd never heard of but are so happy to have in our home. They created kitchen cabinets, two bathroom vanities, two sets of bunkbeds for very active children and a builtin cabinet which currently has no TV but will soon. Everyone we met from Schmitz was professional, creative, timely and meticulous. We'd give them 10 star rating if there were such a thing!

Recently we remodeled a 1948 beach house with Costa Bella Construction. They suggested Schmitz Woodworks for our cabinetry. My experience with them was extremely professional and beautiful craftsmanship. If something was not correct, they would fix it without us even noticing. Their prices are reasonable given the level of expertise and design required. They carefully listen to what the customer wants and provided clear guidance of costs, pros and cons. We started with bathroom cabinets and cabinetry in kitchen and art room cabinets. We needed a simple mantle for our fireplace and window seat storage which they designed and added to provided us more storage under two bay windows. Everything was done beautifully. Their schedules are solid and their work product is beautiful. Best of all, they are cheerful, positive and fun people to work with. You have any issues; they fix it. My pride and joy is the walnut butcher block island roughly 4' x 8'. Just beautiful... much thanks and appreciation.

Schmitz Woodworks did an AMAZING job with my new kitchen, laundry and family room cabinets for a remodel! They were extremely helpful throughout the design process, making valuable suggestions as to materials, layout and design. They manufactured the cabinets ahead of schedule, and the installation was flawless! They were very responsive to every request, even going so far as to manufacture and deliver an extra shelf within a few hours of me requesting it. I would most definitely use Schmitz Woodworks again for any cabinet needs!

We recently completed a full house remodeling project. Sam and Dave from Schmitz woodworks did all the kitchen and island cabinetry. They also helped us build a media cabinet. Throughout the whole process, they were extremely patient, thorough and professional. The drawings and sketches were impeccable and easy to understand during the initial stages. Updated since my initial visit 8 months ago.... My review most definitely hasn't strayed from the 5 star review I gave Schmitz upon our first visit. The incredible attention to detail, help, commitment and professionalism from everyone at this company, fat surpasses most average customer experiences. We worked with Sam mostly and she literally held our hand every step of the way, welcoming all my questions, changes and indecisiveness of a first time remodel. I sent Sam pictures ans she made my vision come to life! Now everyone who walk into our recently remodeled house are drawn to these remarkable cabinets. I could not recommend Schmitz enough! They have made what could have been a stressful and overwhelming time (for me) enjoyable, seemless and overall just such a wonderful experience. In a time when customer service and TRUE customer care is so rare its nearly obsolete, Schmitz really raise the bar, in customer care, so high! We will be forever customers. 8 months Prior.... Saw Sam today for a hour visit to go over everything as far as design for layout and Cabinetry for our new kitchen. She was amazing with lots of knowledge, creativity, and wonderful support with suggestions etc. Really enjoyed our visit and so glad our contractors recommended Schmitz

Sam and the Schmitz Woodworks team are rockstars! We started working with them during our remodel to create the cabinetry for our kitchen and master bath vanity, but that quickly expanded to our pantry, laundry room, and master closet once we realized how easy they make it! Sam was there every step of the way and gave great design suggestions to enhance the vision we had in our heads! She helped create samples of all of our finishes/paint samples to make sure that it was exactly what we wanted. We are in love with the finished product in our house and highly recommend them!

When we set out to remodel our kitchen/living area and create an open space we knew that the cabinets would be a prominent feature and something we needed to pick carefully. Considering the key role cabinets would play in the layout and our specific needs we decided that custom cabinets were the best way to go. Taking the advice of Len Smith and Danyelle Carpenter at Seacliff Construction (our contractor) we visited Schmitz Woodworks in Watsonville. They had many door styles and finishes from which to choose. After looking at things and considering our space we picked something that we thought would work well. We then talked about the various specific options: for the corner cabinet, lower cupboards versus drawers, dealing with the space over the refrigerator. Sam was incredibly helpful with explaining our options. As we moved forward with the project Dave was very collaborative in designing a great layout for our cabinets as well as creating a pantry in a newly created space in addition to a cupboard and pole in the laundry area that exists right off the kitchen. We were out of town for the bulk of the installation and returned home to the transformed space. It came together even better than we had imagined. The few things that needed follow up were handled promptly and professionally. As we have lived in and used the kitchen we appreciate daily the attention to detail and quality craftsmanship of Schmitz’ work.
