Showplace Cabinetry

I have Showplace cherry cabinets with bourbon stain in a recent kitchen renovation. Showplace does a good job of packaging each cabinet and nothing arrived damaged. They are nice cabinets but not great. Showplace seems to lack consistency. One 1'-9" wide stand alone cabinet door was warped enough at the top corner to be visually unacceptable. The dealer and Showplace quickly replaced the door without any problem. The replacement door also had a slight warp in the same location. After installing on the cabinet frame, I adjusted hinges the best I could to resolve. Once installed, it could be seen the stain on the replacement door (inner panel) appears lighter or different than the original doors. It might be the section of cherry wood used but right or wrong it is somewhat noticeable and in some light conditions almost looks like a different stain. Several of the cabinet doors required adjustment up/down, left/right and in/out. ShowPlace makes little effort to make them presentable before shipping. I without any experience spent two hours adjusting them. I found the screw heads used in Blum hinges, especially the up/down screws strip easily as no screw driver fits snugly into the small Phillips screw head. It is made more difficult when you don't adjust Blum hinges regularly. I would not be the first to recommend that Blum use Allen type fasteners.

Big issues with quality and customer service. We recently completed a full renovation and our GC selected Showplace Cabinetry, expecting a level of quality consistent with a custom, high-end installation. Unfortunately, what was delivered falls well short of that standard. The drawers arrived with clearly visible construction and finish defects. These are not minor or subtle issues. They are immediately noticeable and significantly detract from the overall appearance of the space. Even more concerning is the impact this level of finish has on the perceived value of the property. In a newly renovated home, cabinetry is one of the most visible and important elements. Work delivered in this condition does not reflect the quality expected at this level and negatively affects both presentation and resale value. When we raised these concerns directly with Showplace, we were told this is “standard construction.” That response is particularly disappointing. While construction methods may vary, visible defects and lack of basic finishing detail should not be considered acceptable in a completed installation. This is not about unrealistic expectations. It’s about receiving cabinetry that looks and performs like a professional, finished product. We strongly recommend that anyone considering this line insist on seeing detailed samples of both construction and finish quality before proceeding. Based on our experience, the delivered product did NOT align with the level of quality we expected for a renovation of this scope.

We love Showplace cabinets! I'm an interior designer and Kitchen designer and I absolutely love Showplace cabinets. I have ordered cabinets from them for almost 10 years and they always exceed my expectations with their custom cabinets. They offer a wide range of door styles, wood species and cabinet finishes that is perfect for any job. I especially love their inset line of cabinets and the customization available. Showplace stands behind their products and I have never had a client that was disappointed in the quality of their Showplace cabinets.

Very disappointed. It took a long time and several deliveries to get my cabinets. I got the wrong ones. Damaged doors and damaged cabinets. In fact, the hood cabinet came so late (6 months later) that I had to cancel it and order a chimney hood which cost me more. In fact, I'm still waiting for the replacement of the last damage cabinet door, 1 year later!!!

Our cabinets looked great....until they fronts stated chipping, pealing and blistering. Showplace claimed it was water damage but the damaged cabinets were nowhere near water. And our dealer agreed the product was defective. After a year -- yes, a year -- of back and forth Showplace agreed to replace ALMOST all of the damaged fronts. Surely there are better, more reliable products around.

We love that you are always coming out with new products, the latest finishes are a great addition to all the finishes you already offer. What I like most about Showplace Cabinets is you have so many options every order is made al a cart, from the different door styles, all of the wood options to select from, to all the stained and painted finishes you offer along with your character stains to sheen either the satin or matte. With all of these choices to select from you truly have have a cabinet that can suite any clients needs.

I recently reached out to Matt Koziara, in regards to some hinges for my cabinets. I was surprised by how fast he responded to me and how helpful he was. I received the hinges in a couple of days and they were perfect. I had looked on the internet for places that sold cabinet parts but had no luck. They’re lifetime warranty means nothing. One of my kitchen drawers lost its drawer slider lockers and it’s been over a month of them telling me they’re sending me replacements. I’ve asked them multiple times how to buy some or what brand they use and I don’t get a response. I recommend not using them. They ignore you after the cabinets are installed.

I installed Showplace cabinets in my owner's bath in 2020. They are inset, hickory with a beautifully stained finish...Thunder. Each cabinet had custom features and modifications, and they arrived perfect. I am so pleased with the quality that, when it came time to outfit my office, I, again, chose Showplace. They did not disappoint. The kitchen is next and will certainly be Showplace as well. Many thanks to Showplace for the attention to quality, detail and finish.

I can't believe I bought these cabinets. The doors aren't aligned, the shelves bend when anything is placed on them, and the stain finish is uneven and awful. If you end up ordering these things, at least get a painted finish.

I really like the looks of the cabinets and the tawny colored stain. They appear to be well built and installed perfectly. We have just the basic cabinets but am glad I can add extra shelving features in the future if we would decide to do so

My wife & I have been very happy with our new cabinets. We built our house through Allen Homes & Showplace was their partner, but I would definitely recommend Showplace to anyone considering!
