Carlson's Flooring

I chose Carlson flooring and tile because it is a family owned business and had good reviews. I must say that the communication with sales was not satisfactory. The were a few items left out of my project by the salesperson. This was dismissed by the project manager stating what was used (white tile trim) was industry standard instead of what I asked for (brush nickel). The man doing tile, put the old tile and debris in my garbage 2 separate times. The garbage was so heavy I could not move it to the street. I had to call the project manager to have the garbage moved. Never came to complete floor trim at said time. I waited 3 hours. I called project manager and asked when is person coming to finish the job as I had been waiting all morning, he replied that he did know and what did he want me to do about it. They also threw out my threshold and did not replace it. Needless to say...super disappointed in communication and overall service.

I am a professional interior designer and have known Lisa Carlson Nelson for a long time. Lisa is very friendly and professional. She has a beautiful, conveniently located showroom in Geneva. She offers excellent product selection. Lisa and her staff are just as happy to work with interior designers, as they are with the general public. Lisa hosts events on a regular basis to keep interior designers up to speed on the latest flooring products. If you are an interior designer and looking for a business partner for your flooring needs, contact Lisa or her associate, Kim. You can feel comfortable that they will treat you and your clients with the utmost respect and professionalism.

We have worked with Carlsons with projects from our first "entry level" home to our current home. They have replaced floors, created a beautiful fireplace surround, and most recently rehabbed our master bath suite. Their interior designer, Hana, is creative, respectful of our budget, and patient when we wanted to make changes! The laborers sent to our home were always highly professional: on time, worked throughout the entire day to the logical next step of the project, and always cleaned up after themselves. The owners and support staff were always in the loop and aware of where we were in a project and kept us abreast of any necessary changes or issues along the way. Cost wise, they were right in the center of all our bids. If you are in the Western Chicago Suburbs, we sincerely feel you will not find better service.

We had them do some work for us this past summer and I cannot say how pleased we were with not only the sales rep that we worked with but all of the contractors that represented Carlson Flooring. If I do nay more flooring work, it will be with them without a doubt. The gentleman the installed our hardwood floors was not only very knowledgeable and took pride in his work - he was just a nice guy to talk with. They may not be the least expensive, but they are worth every penny. Highly recommend Carlson Flooring.

Hana was very helpful and patient and was a very good listener. She helped me choose my rug after offering me several suggestions based on my decor and needs. Measuring was done quickly and conveniently. And our rug was installed by the nicest, most professional installer. I highly recommend Carlson's. Their service and selection is superior to any other tile, floor covering store I have dealt with. I will surely use them again.

Carlsons did several job for us: carpeting and pads in two rooms, wall and floor tiling in a small bath, tile of a basement hall, repair of a previously installed (another supplier) wood floor in foyer area. From our sales rep, Kim, to our installers it was a wonderful experience. The team was well versed in their products, listened to our requirements, did pre-install measurements, were informative, and did an excellent installation job. Cleaned up after themselves. Price quoted was accurate. They even repaired a bad install of a wood floor another company had sloppily done. We even required a few specialty items (stained, cut, etc,) that were well done and quickly finished to accommodate our previously arranged install date. We recommend Carlsons highly.

Used Carlson's to install hardwood flooring on second floor landing into the master bedroom and a carpet runner on my staircase. I was pleased with the staff, very curtious, helpful and proffesional. The product options were excellent and the installation was great. I was able to obtain the look I wanted and stayed within my budget. I would enlist their service again.

We choose Carlson's Flooring for our back splash project because of their superb reputation. The sale's associate that we worked with was excellent. She was patient, enthusiastic, listened to what we wanted in a tile backsplash, and was a joy to work with. When we were a bit undecided about the focal point of our backsplash, Andrea provided a wonderful idea which worked out so nicely. The tile installer was excellent. His attention to detail really made the entire project look so awesome upon completion. He worked carefully and diligently while leaving no mess behind. The tiles were of the highest quality as was the workmanship! We will return in the future for another project with Carlson's.

It was a delight to work with Andrea. She was very helpful and reassuring in my decisions. Andrea was friendly and courteous. I would recommend her to anyone!

We visited Carlson's Flooring when we were searching for new flooring for our kitchen, dining room and adjoining hallways and foyer. We had stopped by at least 4 other flooring shops, but received the most personal attention at Carlson's. Carlson's employees were the most interested in our project, asked us questions that would indicate the flooring substrate we should consider and were thorough in providing us with the product options that would best suit our needs. They were more concerned with helping us make the correct purchase than in making a sale.

We went to Carlson's to select new flooring for our kitchen, hallway and entrance, and dining areas. Our salespeople, mainly Andrea and Lisa were wonderful to work with - helpful with their suggestions and with every step of our project. Greg came to our home to measure and offer additional suggestions, and Sally scheduled everything to a tee, zand did a beautiful job with the staining of our new floor kicks for the kitchen as well as new thresholds. Dave and Josh were our installers and were very professional and did a marvelous job! We definitely recommend Carlson's, and plan on updating our carpeting with them in the near future.

We hired Carlson's to do a laminate floor for our business. They were great to work with. Greg explained all our options and the installers were quick and clean.
