Motor City Granite & Cabinets

Did a great job on our corporate office tops. We needed them quick and they delivered us cheap and high quality items.

This is our 4th project. Thanks for all your help with our projects. Very accommodating, professional, and above average customer service. Extra thanks to Joan, Randy, Frank, and staff. Highly recomended! Great company!

We only needed a countertop for our kitchen, not cabinets, and Tina at Motor City Granite was extremely helpful, showing us a variety of options and sharing some basic design concepts, which were useful. She also explained the ordering process clearly and without any pressure to buy. She was impressively prompt with cost estimates for various options We found a piece of soapstone at one of the stone suppliers they work with (a fairly easy process and kind of fun!) and we also appreciated the assistance we received at their stone supplier. The ordering process was straightforward, the timeline for installation was clearly laid out, and the installation team did a great job. All along, everyone we worked with on the team at Motor City Granite was friendly, careful, and professional. I love our countertops--they're even prettier than I'd imagined, and gloriously functional. Recommend.

We absolutely “LOVE” our new counters! Tina Wright worked well with us and explained everything quickly between appointments during Covid restrictions. We saw and picked granite on a Saturday morning, then had the measurements done by Frank who was a font of knowledge and information! Then the most beautiful countertops arrived with two of the nicest young guys who also knew their stuff! The counters went into place perfectly! No house project is inexpensive and many times you “hope” the end product will be great and worth the price. No need to hope with Motor City Granite & Cabinets or worry that you overpaid. Don’t look any further for your project!

Cannot recommend this company higher. Installation crew was awesome and professional. Sales team was very knowledgeable and outgoing. If you need granite or quartz in Oakland County this is who you should call first.

Local supplier that was competitive pricing with big box store sale prices, knowledgeable sales staff, professional design, wide selection of granite countertops, arrived on time for installation and the job looks great!

Motor City Granite was very professional, very courteous and the job came out great. I will use them again soon!

It was an exceptional experience dealing with Motor City Granite. From the first meeting with our sales consultant to the final stage of plumber reconnecting our water lines. My wife was indecisive about what color and grain she wanted in quartz, but Joan was very helpful in helping chose and take different samples home to my our decision the correct one. The measuring person was very professional and personable and precise. The installers were great, professional and outgoing and helped reassure us we made an excellent choice. The plumber was a joy to have him reinstall our water lines. He made it look easy which would have taken me all day and plenty of trips to the hardware store. I highly recommend you have the plumber reconnect all the water lines. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone interested in getting countertops done.

Excellent service from start to finish. Informative, knowledgeable, and great to work with. I will definitely do business with them again

Love the quartz I have chosen. Great quality. Sales staff Is pleasant and helpful. Locally owned company, with very nice family

We recently had Motor City Granite install granite in 3 bathrooms. We’re very pleased with their work! Reasonable prices, excellent communication regarding scheduling, quick and thorough responses to our questions, and a great finished product in all 3 bathrooms! We had one minor follow-up issue which was immediately resolved (within the week) to our complete satisfaction. First class company …... happy to recommend them!

Cannot say enough great things about Motor City Granite. All of the staff helped us from start to finish and they all are very friendly. Christina is so knowledgeable in their product so that made it much more enjoyable for us. Beautiful product and beautiful work. Thanks so much!

I was recommended to Motor City Granite & Cabinets from a tile manufacturer that I trusted. When they had given me the recommendation I had sat down with 3 different contractors and spoken to both Home Depot and Lowes. At the time of the in person visit to the home they were the first people that I felt comfortable with. Shannon and Scott talked through everything I had needed and they were even the ones that would take a peak into my walls to see if what I wanted could happen when all others just wanted me to order. The process was smooth. Scott & Bruce were great to have in the house. There were a few things that I wish could have gone a bit differently in terms of some timing and communication but they were so minor in the grand scheme of the entire project. I can't wait to use them again for my future needs. If you are looking for someone to do a great job and be someone you want in your home, Motor City is the place to go.

PRICE WAS GOOD, PLENTY OF OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO CHOOSE FROM, 2 WEEKS TOTAL TIME IS SUPER QUICK, SALES WAS VERY THOROUGH AND DETAILED. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Everyone we worked with has been great. The order came in quickly and I could not believe how quickly they installed the granite. It looks great and I would highly recommend them. Their prices are very fair also.

I am so happy with all my cabinets and granite counter tops from Motor City Granite. Shannon is absolutely wonderful to work with! She is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Together we designed the kitchen and baths that look beautiful in our new house. The installers are great too and made sure everything was just right. I highly recommend Motor City Granite to anyone!

Our experience in the store was great! The woman working with us was very pleasant & helpful. The installation process wasn’t as pleasant. Two installers came- one looked like he had just rolled out of bed, his pants were falling down, he was complaining of tooth pain & immediately sat down on one of my kitchen chairs, because of said tooth pain....He insulted my choice of kitchen cabinets by stating to the other installer, “I mean, I guess for the price of IKEA cabinets, these look ok”, while I was Within earshot. He then asked to use the restroom & proceeded to be in there for 20 minutes! The other installer seemed to be doing most of the work & acted in a professional manner.

Motor City Granite re-did our kitchen this past summer, from floor to ceiling. Shannon did a great job of incorporating our ideas within her design, and the results were fantastic. Some of the unique features to our new kitchen are a built in beverage cooler, and microwave; a farmers sink with instant hot water tap; a floating shelf and window seat; new cabinets and pantry with self-closing doors and drawers; new oak floor to match the rest of the house; and oak back stairs, with a storage cabinet matching the kitchen; new LED ceiling lighting, and under-the-cabinet lighting. And improved plumbing and electrical. All done in a timely manner. Our project manager Scott, oversaw the actual work, and the quality of workmanship from Bruce was great. They also had suggestions along the way that improved the quality of our kitchen, advice that was greatly appreciated on our part.

Not too often do you find great granite and cabinet resources in a small town. Motor City Granite and Cabinets are cost competitive, professional staff and show room, follow through on timing and commitments, and stand behind their product. Highly recommended.

The lady in the show room was borderline rude. She almost seemed combative for lack of a better word. She seemed scolding when didn’t know various types of styles. Of course we don’t know!!! That’s why were coming in there for help. It was a very disappointing experience. It was one day where I had some free time so I want to get some ideas, otherwise I would’ve just walked out.

I would highly recommend Motor City Granite and Cabinets to family and friends. From the start everything went perfect. Joan was great to work with and so patient with my changes. Patrick and Jason installed my countertop and were so professional, courteous and they definitely know their stuff. Many Thanks you to Joan, Jason and Pat.

We went to several granite places, Motor City Granite had excellent staff, help and the project was done perfectly and also cleanup

Ordered a piece of granite from Dwyers. Needed only part of the piece to be fabricated initially. Requested that the extra be saved for a future project. We Returned approximately 4 months later and Charlie had sold our remnant. No apology from Charlie. Very unprofessional way of doing business

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. We had a hick up with the quartz that was installed and MotorCity helped pick a replacement countertop (leathered granite), that was Beautiful!!! I'm very pleased at the end result and would highly recommend MotorCity to anyone needing new counters.

After a long search for countertops I decided to try Motor City Granite. I'm so happy I did!!! Charlie and his staff were very helpful in what my husband thought was a lost cause. I just couldn't figure out what I REALLY wanted. They were very patient and I now have the kitchen of my dreams!!! I cannot say enough about their professionalism!! From start to finish I couldn't have asked for a better team of experts. Thank you Charlie and your dedicated staff!!!

We had soapstone installed by Motor City Granite earlier this year. Charlie and his team were great! Every commitment they made was fulfilled...time wise....product wise...and with quality workmanship as well. We love the soapstone and would certainly recommend Motor City Granite to do a great job of countertop installation to anyone who asks!

I had a very positive experience working with Charlie and his team at Motor City Granite. Charlie was a great listener from the start and really narrowed down what I liked and needed with ease. The process from selection to installation was smooth and was completed within three weeks from making my deposit. Frank, who measured for my granite was patient with my questions and there is only one seam in my whole kitchen. The installers were very polite and neat about their work. I will be back when I am able to update more areas of my home in the future.

Motor City was great to work with. Turn around time was unbelievably fast from picking out slabs to the installation. Charlie and his staff professional, knowledgeable and always available for questions.

From the Owner, Charlie to the sales staff, Joan and Kathy, was a great experience because there was no pressure to buy. they are very knowledgeable and informative of their products. Frank did the layout of our kitchen counter top. A perfect fit at install by Jayson and Arron. They came on the day and time that was promised. A minor modification was needed on a smaller counter top which Randy and Darren took care of while I waited at the shop with out cost. If you want a great experience in choosing a counter top and a precise install, Go to Motor City Granite.

A great group of experienced people, totally professional, dedicated, and determined to make sure you love your new counter space.

I was very pleased with the service I was provided at Motor City Granite. The quality of the sales and install personal, in addition to the materials, were top notch.

My husband and I spent the entire day going to different granite stores looking to replace our kitchen counters. We felt like we were getting nowhere. Either the sales staff didn't care if you were there, or were so overbearing that we couldn't wait to leave. I convinced him to make one last stop, Motor City Granite. We were a good 45 minutes away and knew we'd be cutting it close before they closed. I'm so glad we made the trip! Charlie was everything the other places weren't! He listened to our thoughts, gave us his opinion, and in the end helped us select a beautiful slab of granite, and stayed a good half hour after closing to help us! The staff that installed everything were beyond professional, polite, and knowledgeable. I have and will continue to recommend Motor City Granite to all my family and friends!

They were very helpful and courteous. The installers did a great job and we were extremely happy with the results! I would definitely use them again on my next project.

Our experience with Motor City Granite started after a thorough search for a dealer we were quickly and easily impressed with. Motor City has just the right amount of "sell" and a significant amount of knowledge of the industry, which helped us greatly. The office staff, namely "Suzie", sold the job immediately, and with none of the usual haggling common in the remodeling industry. The job involved Tear-out, Re-Install, Sink and Faucet products. The Owner/Management, Charlie, helped us over some common hurdles, and was more than willing and able to solve issues related to pricing, and job corrections. Indeed, Charlie went well beyond the normal boundaries of customer service, as did his staff of installers. Further, his recommendations for additional trades to do tiling, etc., were totally appreciated, and used. We are very happy with our job. I would highly recommend Motor City as an experienced, helpful, reasonably priced, and well connected dealer in the natural stone counter arena. J.P.McGlinnen Waterford, MI

We felt very comfortable working with Motor City Granite for our first granite remodeling experience! Charlie and team were knowledgable and fair-priced. Our total experience was very positive and we will definitely use them again! Installation took less time than expected and the plumber was efficient and skilled as the pipe required some re-engineering!

They were very professional and everyone from the office to the installers were excellent. I would highly recommend this company.

Charlie was outstanding at helping us select just the right style and color that fit our budget for finishing our basement. He fit us into the schedule even on short notice and actually delivered earlier than we expected. The team that measured and installed the granite also did an exceptional job with all the finishing touches. We could not be happier with the entire experience.

We had a great experience! Very professional and always there to answer any questions. Suzie in the showroom was very organized and showed us a ton of options. We also worked with Charlie who was always available by phone and responded quickly to my emails which I really appreciate. The installers were respectful, friendly and took the time to inform us of what and why they were doing things. After shopping more then 5 granite stores, including big box stores, I found their prices to be fair and their material to be of good quality. I couldn't be happier with the results.

I started a home addition remodel in June of 2015 and had a horrible experience with my builder, so was very cynical about the whole process. My builder's granite company had not been at all helpful, just told me what I was looking for was difficult to find and very expensive. I went to Motor City Granite not expecting much and in my first visit they were able to get me exactly what I was looking for and within my budget. Charlie made a fantastic recommendation on a stone for the counter that is beautiful and made it possible for me to get the higher end granite for my island that I wanted. From the showroom experience, to the fabricator to the installers - everyone was professional and a pleasure to work with!

We had an urgent need to get a bathroom up and working in our new condo. Sinks and showers are pretty important. Motor City turned out shower sills for us, in the quartz of our choice, in mere days. The countertops took a few more weeks. The wait was stressful, but the countertops were well worth the wait! I needed a 5" apron on the quartz because I wanted undermount sinks and to still retain the use of the top drawers. They solved our problem, beautifully. Frank, Susie, Charlie, our installers - all were so helpful. Great collaborators, great communicators, great craftsmen.

Motor City Granite came recommended to me and I will return the favor and recommend them to anyone looking for new countertops: they are great to work with!!! I am extremely happy with my countertops and the professionalism that everyone had while working with them.

Our kitchen and three baths look wonderful! Charlie and Susie were helpful with color and style selection, without being pushy. The installers were professional, showed up on time, and made our home look beautiful! We are happy with the job, materials, and services provided! They also were a great value, overall, I highly recommend them.

I shopped around for granite and settled on Motor City Granite because they were local and were competitively priced. Everyone there was great to work with. Charlie and Suzie were helpful on the front end with selection/pricing and then the guys at fabrication and the installers were all top-notch. If you are anywhere near Lake Orion, give Motor City Granite a chance to earn your business.

We had a great experience from start to finish, great company to work with. Charlie was very knowledgeable and helpful. Crews were polite and efficient.

Motor city granite was very professional and hit a home run when installing my granite. Would recommend them to anyone. Far pricing and great people.

I am still beaming about the kitchen and bath granite counter tops MC installed. MC has comparable prices and excellent customer care. I made one phone inquiry and my countertops were installed within 16 business days!

Great company to deal with from start to finish. Building a home can be very stressful but Charlie and Todd made our decision process very easy and stress free.

Our experience with Motor City Granite has been top quality. They fabricated and installed our counter tops quickly and precisely on time. Their seam work is flawless. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to my friends and family!

Motor City Granite replaced both my kitchen and bathroom counter tops. I am so happy with the granite and the installation. Picking out my colors was so easy and wonderful too, non of the pressure to buy, just the we are here to help. So much help was given including samples to take home so I could see what the colors would look like with my cabinets. The installation guys called when they were on their way so we knew when to expect them. They were never late. When I decide to renovate again, I will be using Motor City Granite.

Great shopping experience. Friendly, professional staff. Installation crew was also very nice and professional. They worked with us to select pieces that fit our style and budget.

Excellent service starting with sales representative. The installation went smoothly and was well done. The installers were on time, pleasant and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend this company.

Charley, Susie and team were great to work with. Once I picked my stone they were able to get me measured within a few days and fabricated/installed a week later. Quartzite counters in my kitchen look great!

Picked out my granite slab at the supplier after shopping around. Went to a few places and Motor City was comparable in price. The supplier couldn't ship it for next day delivery so Charlie texted me a picture of a slab just like it! Install was quick and they added a nice polish after installation. Also spent the time to explain to me how to properly take care of my granite and warned me that red wine/oil will stain and soak into the pores of the countertop. I had no idea!

Motor City Granite installed quartz counter tops in my kitchen and two bathrooms. They also assumed responsibility for the disconnect and reconnect of any required water hoses and drain pipes and installation of a new disposal. In addition, I purchased new sinks and faucets from them. All work was completed, as scheduled, and in a professional manner. Work was done correctly with good clean-up afterward. Charlie, one of the owners, was helpful with making selections, following up with questions I had and coordinating installa- tion dates with other projects I had undertaken. He certainly was very amiable and good to work with. I sent him three referrals, all of whom hired him to handle the purchase and installation of counter tops, sinks and faucets.

I went into the shop to look at some granite samples that would match our new kitchen cabinets of course I was feeling overwhelmed with choices but they guys in the showroom were very helpful and knowledgable about various pieces. A few weeks later our granite was installed, the install guys were very professional and my new granite looks amazing, we couldn't be happier.

I wanted a granite countertop for my main floor bathroom vanity. We looked around from this place all the way down to the multitude of granite shops south east of Lake Orion in Shelby/Sterling Heights. We didn't want anything fancy so we found a classic looking Gaillo Ornamental. All the shops must order from the same place because they all have this style. Long story short, MCG had the best price for what I wanted. The ordering process was pretty simple and I was able to come to an agreement on the details and price over the phone which was nice instead of having to come in again to the store. Frank came out within 3 business days to do the measurements (I did call on Friday early afternoon). The installation was scheduled for a week later but luckily there was an opening a few days before. We scheduled for Thursday from 1-3pm. I asked for a 30min lead time so I could leave work and meet them at the house. 1pm went by, 2pm, I called Frank at 3pm and he said that they got held up on another job and would definitely finish that day. I went home early from work to meet them. They didn't show up to my house until 4:30pm. Frank did text me 15 min before they arrived, but I really could have used more advanced notice and a more reliable time (I'm sure most people don't have as flexible of work schedules). The installers were very nice and made sure to let me know everything that they were doing. Really nice guys. They finished in about an hour. After they left I noticed that they didn't clear caulk an area where the counter met the backsplash and there was caulk residue on the countertop that I had to razor blade off. Both I fixed without effort, but I felt there could have been more attention to detail. The holes for the cold side valve were also off center from the other two holes. There was enough play in the valves that I could make it work and the beauty ring would cover it, but again I wanted more attention to detail especially since it was such a small piece. The finished product had great fit/finish once everything was done. Overall, it was a good experience and I would buy from them again. If the installers just took a little more attention to the small details it would be a perfect experience. It really does look great. I would order from them again and just check out the work before they leave.

We contracted Motor City Granite to install kitchen countertops and three countertops for the bathrooms. Our experience was very good. The job was expedited very fast, and I would say that of all the contractors we had for our house rebuild, Motor City Granite was our best experience.

Show room to install in less than 2 weeks! The installers were on time, courteous, knowledgeable, cleaned up after themselves and made sure I was happy before they left. Plus their prices were significantly lower than Home Depot!

Caulk job was a little off, but I fixed that with little effort otherwise great price, quick install. Very nice and professional crew. Actually doing another condo late this year.

Love their workmanship and ability to make changes when necessary. If you want excellence in granite installation you have come to the right place.

Motor City Granite did an awesome job on our house! Granite countertops for the kitchen, master bathroom and powder room - fabulous! Pricing was reasonable and turn around time was quick and as indicated. Would definitely recommend!

The staff at Motor City Granite were very pleasant to work with and gave my wife and I some suggestions on our kitchen remodel which we ending up taking. We upgraded our granite selection and we our very pleased that we did. The large granite sections we have in our kitchen really give us that "Wow" effect were looking for. The finish and cuts on the granite pieces are accurately machined and polished for a very clean look. The installation crew did a great job and were very conscientious of our home making sure not to cause any damage while bringing in these large and heavy slabs. We were very pleased with the overall process and will use Motor City Granite for future projects. Rob and Patricia

Charlie at Motor City Granite was great to deal with on our project! He was attentive, answered all questions promptly, came out twice to inspect the job and finish up with the rest of our questions and concerns. The installation measure and install was very quick, and we could view our slabs nearby the shop. The pricing was terrific also. The only complaint we had was on the tear out of our old counters being quite a mess (cover or remove everything right below the old counters) with not enough cleanup by the workers. The install was very dusty, so it is recommended to hang plastic on all open areas to the rest of the house. Overall, a nice company to deal with.

We are so excited that Motor City Granite is opening their beautiful showroom in Downtown Lake Orion this month. This is a fantastic group of professionals with over 30 years experience fabricating, installing and selling solid surface counter tops. I've had the good fortune to have first hand experience with this group for many years, and am looking forward to increasing our business with them now.
