Carolina Closets Plus

This is the second time we use Carolina closets for large closets in our homes. Their design work is attentive and creative. Their insulation is stellar. We are so delighted with their service.

Carolina Closets Plus organized a hallway and master bedroom closet for us. We love the newly organized closets and highly recommend them.

In preparation for my partner moving in, adding a custom closet to our master bedroom was necessary in order to accommodate both of our wardrobes into a limited spaced walk-in closet. I previously lived in an apartment where the closet was re-done and have missed having it ever since. The owner of the apartment advised me that she used Carolina Closets Plus. I always perform due diligence when evaluating home vendors, and though Carolina Closets Plus was not the cheapest nor most expensive, I was most impressed with their prompt responses, extremely thorough design process, attention to detail, and extremely short lead time. Simone is an expert designer in this field. She will guide you through the design process, take phone calls late at night to talk through options, and cater the design to fit your needs. All said and done, I think we had Simone provide 4 different renditions and she was happy to do so! We finally landed on a design and couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. Mike was extremely quick to respond to any scheduling or billing related inquiries over email. You could tell that Mike runs a "mom and pop" operation and takes customer success to heart. After we agreed upon a design, it only took about 2 weeks to get on their calendar as other vendors were booking out 3-4 months. I was shocked that the job only required one installer! He was so friendly, detail oriented, clean, and expedient. My partner and I could also tell that he truly cared about his craftsmanship and took a lot of pride in his work. We would highly recommend Carolina Closets Plus to anyone in the area considering a project of their own.

We are thrilled with our closets! We had our master bedroom closet done eight years ago, and it has always been one of my favorite updates to the house. We recently invited Mike back to help us organize space in three reach-in closets including our coat closet. I wish we had done them sooner. The closets are organized, optimized, and beautiful. I keep opening the closet doors just to look at them. The process was easy and professional, and the work was done at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend Carolina Closets Plus.

I love the built-in. Really finishes off the wall and have great place to display a few items. Wanted to let you know Luther was good to work with on this installation and the closet. Work was done well, place cleaned up and he was to to explain the setup.

This is the second time we used Carolina Closets Plus for upgrading our closets. We used them for our previous house, and for our new home with his/hers MB closets. Our MB closet in our previous home was a feature buyers loved and helped us sell our previous home quickly. Mike gave us an excellent price for our new home's his/hers closets, an excellent design, and perfect craftmanship when completed. Like our previous home, our new closets have a wow factor!

Carolina Closets Plus were a great choice to redo our kitchen pantry. They were professional, efficient and made the most of the space. I would recommend and hire them again.

Carolina Closets Plus just finished its fourth major project for us in the last 3 ½ years. First and foremost to us when working with a contractor is the quality and honesty of the people. There is enough stress during a large project in setting the requirements, making decisions, approving a contract, putting up with the mess of construction, and paying for it all that you don’t need extra stress worrying about the people managing and doing the work. The owners, Terri and Mike Hoffer, are an absolute joy from the beginning to the end and the folks they have to do the installations are professional, courteous, and highly skilled. An important thing to know about Mike and Terri is that they are creative! They won’t come in and give you a cookie cutter solution. Each of our projects with them was different – a laundry room remodel, extensive garage storage, craft room storage that consisted of an entire wall alcove filled with specialized drawers and cabinets, and, most recently, remodeling the master bedroom closet. On that last one, Terri and Mike easily doubled the amount of usable storage space compared to the original closet. It looks beautiful and is very efficiently arranged. Another important thing to know is that Mike and Terri stand behind the quality of the final work product. They come out personally to inspect the work and ensure that the customer is totally satisfied with it. No job is perfect; but, Terri and Mike strive to get it as close to the standard as possible. Do we like their work and do we recommend them – you bet! We are almost sad that we are running out of projects to work on with them.

We had Mike redesign three closets for us in our new apartment and were delighted with the final results -- great design, more available storage space than we had imagined, and reasonable cost (under $2,000). The young installer did a beautiful job. We give Mike and his team the highest recommendation.

My master bedroom closets are now beautiful and functional thanks to Carolina Closets Plus. Mike, his wife, and the entire team were a real pleasure to work with on this project. I met with several other companies initially. Carolina Closets Plus offered the best, most creative, and most thorough designs (including 3D illustrations that really helped me to visualize the new design in the space). They also came in lower in price than one of the major national closet companies. I was also able to come into their showroom to see the various options in person and select hardware and finishes. The installation team was personable and professional and the installation was high quality. I am extremely pleased with my two new closets - so much more functional now! I have hired Carolina Closets Plus four times over the last 8 years. They have now redesigned all seven closets in my home. I am thrilled with the results! Mike is easy to work with and the installation crew is quick, neat, and professional. The work was not inexpensive, but it was worth every penny.
