Archadeck of the Foothills

We have a unique design of our deck that other companies weren't comfortable in tackling. We contacted 10 total companies and only 3 responded. Out of those 3, only 2 offered plans on how to make our deck dreams come true. We chose Archadeck because they have such a complete and thorough process of helping you understand what is possible in reality based on what vision you have in your head. Step by step everything was so easy and at no point did we feel like things were out of control or left us with any concerns. We worked with Ben, Jeff, Pat and Jason. Every single one was so helpful and it was amazing to see how every part of the project was timed so precisely in order to finish it with such high quality and on time.

We replaced an old deck with a new deck (TimberTech material), deck cover, and paver patio. The project was smooth from beginning to end and we ended up with a beautiful high-quality outdoor space that many people have complimented. I shopped around and while it was expensive, Archadeck's price was very competitive. The entire Archadeck team was professional, in-contact, very responsive, helpful, and enjoyable to deal with day-to-day. Our city had lot coverage requirements that we weren't aware of prior to the project and Archadeck really helped navigate that process for us which was much appreciated. We recommend them highly.

We could not be happier with Archadeck and the outstanding job they did on our new deck! From the first presentation to the final cleanup they were very professional and provided excellent communication throughout the whole process. We weren’t entirely sure how we wanted to lay everything out but with their expert advice and creative eye we came up the most ideal plan within our space guidelines. Joe Tassano just now-Edit Overall: I highly recommend Archadeck of the Foothills. Ben (Owner/Design), Jeff (Project Manager), and Katy (Design) were amazing. I have been involved in many construction projects whether personal or through work. This was by far the best experience I have ever experienced. Their process is amazing start to finish. With the first meeting that included and estimate, to the second design meeting, to selecting materials, starting the project, and everything in between. My wife and I started with a vision of wanting a covered patio structure, but we had no idea on how to make it work. Ben very quickly proposed a solution that turned into a custom new patio cover that was tied into our existing roof. You would never know that it was an addition. And, then Jeff and his carpenters made the most beautiful custom covered patio with a cathedral ceiling and tongue and grove cedar boards; it is more than we ever expected. I have never seen so much pride taken on a project. After the patio cover was completed, came the new paver patio. They had to remove an existing concrete patio and then install the new patio paver with a new design. This was a different crew than the carpenters, and again we were amazed the the quality as well as the speed. They laid an entire new large patio in less than 4 days, Amazing! Communication: Communication was great through the entire process, Jeff was great to work with, and he really cares about the customer experience. He made a comment to me that they are in the customer service business that also builds gorgeous projects. I would agree they all really care about their customers. Punch list: There were a few items at the end that needed minor corrections, which is normal in all construction. The amount of items needing attention was very minimal, and the resolution was quick, and Jeff was always understanding and responsive. He wanted us to be happy with the project and to be able to enjoy it as soon as possible. Again in this regard, best experience ever. Extras: Our kids loved talking to the contractors and watching the project. I loved that the crew would talk to our kids and were so good with them. It is so important to be able to trust the people you hire on these types of projects; and that was always the case. Working with Archadeck of the Foothills was one of the best decisions we made. Most building stories are riddled with horrors. This was the exact opposite experience. Every step of the process - from first planning meeting to the final walk through - was easy and professional. Archadeck built us a beautiful pergola that ties seamlessly with our custom home, even matching the 10-year-old stone. You won't regret choosing this company for your project!

An absolute pleasure to work with the whole way through. From the moment we went through the consultation with them, I knew that these guys were going to do a great job, and they delivered! Starting with the consultation, Ben paid special attention to every detail of the design. He evaluated our backyard, landscaping, view and style of home and came up with a plan that fit us and our budget. He wasn't passive in the design process and he didn't want us to be passive either. He truly wanted our opinion as to what we liked, and was willing to give us his honest opinion as how certain design elements we had chosen would work with our design and house. I never felt like he was ever trying to up-sell us or pull one over on us. Oddly, one of the absolute best things about the design process was the actual contracting process itself. When it came time to put pen to paper, Ben had completely scoped the project and he knew exactly how many boards, screws, nails, fasteners, etc. were needed for the job, and so he gave us (and stuck to) an exact number. My wife and I had heard horror stories from others when dealing with cost issues with other contractors, so having a contractor who was willing to put an exact dollar amount in the contract was a huge relief and sign of confidence and competence. Moving to the actual construction process itself, I found it was just as pleasant as the design process. Their project manager, Jeff, met us before the job started and kept in constant email contact to let us know when to expect deliveries of materials, when guys were going to be on site and when to expect certain milestones to be met. The carpenters were all super friendly and respective of our neighbors (we had several neighbors telling us how courteous they were), and were great with our little ones. The original estimate on the job was 21 days, but they were done in about 14! Even when we had a hiccup with the wrong color of railings being ordered, they had them completely swapped out and the right ones installed in less than a day! Once construction was done, their crew made a serious effort in trying to clean up every loose screw, piece of debris, etc., and tried to make it seem as though they had never been there, even though they were contending with some serious mud that was created by some late season snow. As for the final product, we love it! It's exactly what we had contracted for, and the quality of the materials and workmanship is fantastic. It's clear that these guys don't cut corners and take pride in everything they do. While they aren't the cheapest option, you're getting unparalleled service, contact and workmanship. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking for a new deck and/or pergola! -Bryan

I can't say enough good things about this project! From start to finish the entire team was professional, organized, friendly, and efficient, and most importantly they built a beautiful top quality deck. They considered every detail and made sure we both understood what I wanted and what they were building. The deck itself is fantastic - solid, beautiful and aesthetically integrated into the existing house. We live adjacent to an open space path, and regularly get comments from folks on how nice the deck looks. We’ve just furnished the deck and it’s immediately apparent how this will become a central part of our ‘hanging out’ at home. And with the electric heaters and gas fire table, we’ll be able to enjoy it almost year round!

You may find cheaper prices, but not better quality. From the time Ben Wood came to bid the project, we felt "in the loop". The project started on time and finished on time. Even when the manufacturer of the decking delivered a mismatched load, project manager Jeff Spahn fixed the problem in an amazingly short time. Our crew, Ben (a different Ben) and Jesse were great, very knowledgeable and professional. They always consulted with us when a decision had to be made. The finished deck is beautiful, and we are thrilled with it.
