Franklin & Associates - Design/Build

We are very much satisfied with our choice of Franklin and Associates to carry out a thorough, multi-phase renovation on our 1880s Victorian home. From the first meetings where we conceived the project all the way through the completion of the work (February 2024 for the first phase), Tim Franklin listened to our thoughts, even if imperfectly expressed, and translated them into imaginative design solutions. Our hope was that updates and modernizations to the house would be largely invisible, as though they’d been there from the beginning. Tim delivered, beautifully. Every old house renovation has unexpected issues, and Tim, project manager Chris Janca, and their crew of craftsmen were at pains to keep us informed as to what they’d discovered and how it could be addressed. The depth and breadth of their experience was obvious. There were no unpleasant surprises, either on the work site or in the invoices for the job. We lived in the house through the entire renovation and this was not a hardship. The work crew including subcontractors was always professional and respectful. Phase 2 of the renovation is nearing completion and Tim and crew are still doing an amazing job. Looking forward to the end (for now) of the project in the final phase!

We had the pleasure of working with Tim Franklin and his project manager, Chris, on a total renovation/rebuild project. We built two separate houses on our property that started right before 2020. It was a difficult time to renovate due to Covid, however, Tim and his crew continued to make the best out of the unpredictable situation. From start to finish, the service provided was exceptional. One of the standout features of this project was Tim and Chris's communication. They were always available to answer our calls and promptly addressed any questions or concerns we had. The quality of the work completed was impressive. Tim's attention to detail in the design and Chris and his team being able to execute it made it clear that they take great pride in their work and they strive for excellence. Throughout the project, Tim and his crew maintained a high level of professionalism. They were respectful and worked hard to achieve the design we were hoping for. In conclusion, I highly recommend Franklin and Associates for any contracting needs. Their outstanding service, excellent communication, and top-notch workmanship truly set them apart. I moved into a home built by Tim Franklin. We had a minor foundation issue caused by some settling. I contacted Tim about it. He was eager to take a look at the issue and take care of it. I was impressed how he was concerned to make things right and stand by his work. (The way it should be, but unfortunately rare these days it seems) If I ever have a home built again I will call Tim Franklin.

Hire Franklin & Associates - You will not be disappointed! Remodeled 1970s home top to bottom over 16 - 18 months. Owner/designer Tim Franklin was professional and respectful from our first meeting throughout the completion of the project. We felt Tim listened to us and understood what we wanted even when we had difficulty articulating our vision. His input considered our design style, lifestyle, and needs our busy family as he guided us through every step of our journey. Tim only sent us to vendors that met his high standards and this high level of expectation was reflected in the quality of the products that were used in our home. Our family lived in the home during the entire project and the crew demonstrated respect and consideration for us through the whole adventure - in fact, we became very accustomed to having them around--almost like additional members of our family! Our project manager, Chris, was awesome - most notably, Chris- 1) provided periodic updates through each step, 2) keep us notified of deadlines so our selections could be ordered timely without affecting the process, and most importantly, 3) gave great insight to offering design suggestions that considered both design and functionality while drawing on his vast experience. Franklin & Assoc did an amazing job remodeling the kitchen in our 1827 farmhouse. They kept us informed every step of the way. They worked extra to get things done in our timeline which was greatly appreciated. Our new floor in the kitchen which they laid to look like the original 1827 floor that is in our living room is amazing looks beautiful! Every detail was thought of.

The decision to renovate and refresh our 200-year-old family farmhouse was difficult. We did not want to loose the integrity and historical charm of our home. Our home had several additions added on over the years. Our hope was to have the new renovations blend seamlessly with the historical charm of the original main home without it looking like renovations. Too many Designers and Builders want to modernize the old to new. That’s not what we wanted for our historical family home. Tim Franklin, his project manager Chris Janca, and the team of craftsmen got it. They listened to our needs and wants while respectfully guiding and educating us through the project in the proper way to accomplish them. As the owner, Tim’s unique way of seeing the project and verbalizing it for us to see in our mind was amazing. He then created it on paper, and executed it by overseeing every step and detail, even answering every text and call promptly was such a comfort. Chris’s managing of the crew on every detail was impressive to see. They cleaned and straightened up every step of the way. They respected of our family home, it’s antiques, the 200 yr old original floors, doors and finishing’s was such a comfort. We ended this project right on time and budget and could not be happier. Our expectations and needs were well exceeded. Today you would never know where the additions to the farmhouse accrued. For example, the beams in the sunroom have been hand carved and each one placed to hug the uneven walls and ceilings with great detail to match the original 200-year-old beams. The floors have been married, stained and blended to match perfectly with the original floors, and so much more. We could not be happier and will now be adding additional projects.

We hired Tim Franklin and his team to remodel our master suite including, the closet. We wanted an architect to draw plans for us and to assist with product choices and room design. We not only received plans, but an amazing team who were meticulous in their work, extremely friendly and helpful every step of the way!!! The Project Manager, Chris answered every one of our questions, assisted in tough decisions, was quick to fix any issues and always had great suggestions. Our new master suite looks absolutely beautiful!!! We couldn't be happier with this project. We can't wait to start planning the next project with Tim and his crew!!! In addition, to all of the new construction, they also refurbished and remodeled many existing rooms in the house (e.g., the old master bedroom, main stairway to the second house floor). Tim and his crew were always available for questions and were helpful in offering creative ideas to our plans while sensitive to costs. The crew, especially Chris and Kevin, were very considerate of our living needs while doing all of the work and would often visit on Saturdays to go over any changes and additions we desired. The crew were perfectionists when it came to building or remodeling - a real added bonus! We will miss the crew as they feel like part of our family after 10 months (the original project was to take less time but they did such great work we kept adding projects

Tim Franklin provided us with an exceptional design for our home remodeling project. We were able to create an elegant and unique bathroom with Tim's assistance and guidance. We hired Tim Franklin and his crew to build a two-story addition and remodel our mud porch, our laundry room and various other projects. They did a great job on design and had excellent craftmanship. Our new molding, floors and cabinets really matched the historical character of our home and I would recommend them of any remodeling project. Tim was always very positive and upbeat, easy to work with and was good at problem solving.

Tim and his crew were a pleasure to work with on my major basement remodeling project. He has an eye for style and design, and his people were professional, thorough and dependable.
