Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling

We hired Paul Davis to address a water damage issue in October 20 related to an accident created by one of our team members in a neighboring unit. The homeowner in the neighboring unit just had a spouse pass as a result of covid, so getting the matter finished before thanksgiving was extremely important and their estimator Moshe Robbins stated the work could be done easily within the timeframe. Despite Paul Davis advertising you have one point of contact for a project, there were 3 different people who obviously did not communicate. Part of the work was completed and then they fell off the face of the earth. They would not return calls from my Operations Manager Kristen nor my Production Manager Christina. Eventually we gave up and just hired our own people to get the project finished so this elderly widower could have her space back. Sadly, because of Paul Davis lack of ownership / responsibility, the work did not get completed until just after Xmas 20. To make matters worse, when I received the bill form them for what they did do, I wanted to discuss the issues of them not finishing the work. At no point did anyone from management reach back to us. To make matters worse, for a bill that was dated April 19th, 2021, they already sent intent to lien notices to the elderly lady on May 14th, 2021. The lessen learned is that when you have a problem with Paul Davis, this is how they will handle it. Even when you call the office, you get an accounting clerk, as there is not management in the building. We paid the bill to keep the elderly lady out of this, but will have to let our attorney get involved. I regret asking my production manager to call Paul Davis vs. another firm as Paul Davis has to be the worst contractor I have ever seen in the world of construction, and I have seen alot.

I saw one the Paul Davis trucks on 43 today and the driver threw an empty bag of Doritos out the window. I can not ever use a company that has employees this careless and lazy.

I had significant water damage to my wengewood floors due to a leak I discovered. Several reps from Paul Davis were quick to respond on a weekend day to start the restoration process. Each step was explained; the how and why. Tearing out the saturated wood down to the concrete and dehumidifying the area as quick as possible to prevent mold was crucial at that point. They even sealed off the area with plastic to help speed it up. Once it was dry, they spent quite a bit of time drawing out the built-ins I have and discussing my options for replacing the floor. They were essentially recreating small sections of cabinets so they needed to stain and cut the wood to match. The floor could be redone with a different type of wood and then stained to match to save money, but I decided to go with the original type. It took a while to manufacture it, but it eventually was installed. They did struggle a bit to match the finish and needed to make 4 attempts to try and match the un damaged areas. It's not perfect, but passable and they were upfront about that. The only thing they couldn't help with was replacing the furniture! Appreciated the work.

PD has done a remarkable job restoring our 35 year old three story home after a 3 day flood from top to bottom floors after a frozen pipe. They arrived immediately and began cleanup/drying/ demolition in the first day. The project manager has been focused, hardworking, and friendly, using excellent communication and proactive problem solving. The quality of subcontractors has been very good, and if there was any problem, PD was quick to step in and solve it. They have been on schedule throughout and very respectful of our home and our schedule. They have cleaned the house regularly, allowing us to live in for most of the work.. Expertise, professionalism, and friendliness are the hallmarks of the nearly four months of work.

We had a tornado come through our small town and devastated our neighborhood. My insurance company gave us names of a few companies and we choose Paul Davis. They were fantastic, they listened to all of our concerns and wants. They completely gutted out our living room and loft and tore off everything on the outside, siding, roof, gutters and windows. They were great to work with. Absolutely no complaints.
