Complete ghost contractor. Came to the house initially right on time and evaluated the property. Gave me a solid quote and the price was fair (not great, but not bad). My mistake from there was hiring him. Was a little unsure when he could start the project, but he kept in touch for a few months until he could and gave me a few days notice. That was August 2020. He quoted me on 4 days of work to install the fence, but his crew (with him absent most of the time) finished in less than 2. I promptly paid in full with the understanding he would be coming back to finish some things up. Unfortunately the fence was half finished and there was terrible craftsmanship everywhere. The gates were hung crooked. The trim on the fence wasn't cut and installed properly. An entire side of vertical boards was half drilled in which caused shifting as weather changed. I had been following up with him weekly and monthly to get him to return. He mostly ended up no-showing me non stop or making terrible excuses up like his car was smashed into. Or he'd have the nerve to send me photos of him drinking on the beach. He did return on occasion but never brought enough to finish the job for some reason, so he'd always have to come back. Eventually, he just stopped returning phone calls and texts. Complete lack of care and pride in his own work. Says a lot about a guy.

You are not going to find a better contractor than Jon. Here's what I have learned over my six years of home ownership... nobody is going to do a better job than an intelligent, motivated individual can likely do for themselves, given the right resources. Jon and his crew represent the exception to this rule. He is personable, communicative, fair, and generous in his work. You will not have to chase him. His team is friendly and knows what they're doing. He hires young and develops college kids through their work for him. Jon was even flexible on an already aggressive price when the coronavirus pandemic unexpectedly impacted my salary. All of these are attributes that distinguish Rogerson Outdoor Structures and make the short-term experience of bringing your vision to life fun and exciting instead of painful and anxiety inducing. However, even the friendliest contractors come and go. It is ultimately the quality of their work that you are left with. With Rogerson, the quality is there. I have no doubt that my family and I will enjoy the wall, patio, and fence that Jon built us for years to come. The guys created a backyard where there was previously, no backyard. It's impressive and everyone who sees it cannot believe the transformation. You're not going to find a better experience and/or product. Call Jon, be reasonable, get on his calendar, and prepare to be impressed.
