It is with great satisfaction that we write this review for Mike Dangredo from Finishing Touch. Mike refinished the hardwood floors throughout our home in Charlton, MA. He also redesigned and renovated our kitchen, replaced the railings/newel posts/balusters for our stairway, and replaced the tile floor in our half bath. From start to finish, Mike communicated well, explained the process, and answered any questions we had. Through thoughtful planning, Mike did his best to minimize disruptions to our family’s day to day living and to help us get back onto our floors or back into our kitchen as soon as possible, which was a huge stress reliever for us. Most impressively, even though the project was planned several months before starting, Mike was was able to give us specific dates for when each phase would begin and end. The project was completed according to that schedule and was done on time and, just as importantly, on budget. We’d also like to mention that the subcontractors who work with Mike are friendly, trustworthy, and have the same work ethic and dedication to customer satisfaction as Mike. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of Mike’s work. We have our dream kitchen and couldn’t be happier! Awesome Floor! Eleven years ago we purchased our dream lakeside vacation home in West Brookfield, Massachusetts. Built in 1940 and renovated in 1972 and 1984, it had fir porch flooring in the Great Room and Master Bedroom. The floor had been refinished twice and the soft wood was highly dented. We searched our local retail sources and could find nothing that would match the old pine paneling. Our collection of furniture woods didn’t help. Turning to the internet we found Brazilian Direct Ltd. and were amazed at the beautiful woods they displayed. Their site was so informative and we ordered several wood samples. The samples were delivered three days later and we found our floor…Brazilian Koa also known as Tigerwood. We called the owner of Brazilian Direct, Dan Cosgove and he answered all of our questions, along with a few we didn’t know to ask. Ordering our flooring was so easy and Dan delayed our shipment until we were ready to receive it (all of our furniture had to be moved to our garage). When ready, our floor was delivered by truck on the date and time promised. Five weeks to acclimate to our lakeside home followed. Finding an installer in this COVID economy proved to be a challenge, but we always check Houzz.com and the Better Business Bureau. Can’t go wrong with either, but when BOTH recommended the same company, we found our installer. We called Finishing Touch Hardwood Floor and Remodeling Company in Charlton, MA and talked with Michael Dangredo, the owner. Luck would have it, Dan had ONE opening on October 4th, otherwise we would have to wait until April, 2022. Dan came out to our home the following evening, punctual to the minute, surveyed the project, asked a lot of questions and made some great suggestions. His estimate was within our budget and slightly under our expectation. Monday, October 4th finally came and Michael and his son John arrived before 9 AM as promised and immediately set to work ripping up the old fir flooring. Tuesday morning they started installing our Tigerwood floor. As they opened up the boxes, we were amazed at the beautiful shades and patterns of the wood. As the installation progressed, Michael made a few suggestions that made the end result spectacular. The attention to detail, their respect for our home and furnishings, and their friendly and courteous personalities put us at ease. At the end of each work day they cleaned up professionally so that we could walk in stocking feet anywhere. Just a note on the quality of the wood from Brazilian Direct. Not a single piece of wood was defective, marred, warped or dinged. My 10% waste figure went down the drain and I have four boxes left for projects here. Mike and his team updated our tired kitchen and refinished our kitchen and living room hardwood floors. The team was extremely professional and the work was fantastic! We could not be happier with the recommendations that his team suggested and the outcome of our kitchen remodel. I would definitely look to Finishing Touch for future projects in my home.

I have hired Mike on many occasions to build custom pieces, build staircases, and remodel a basement. He has always started on time and finished on time. His estimates are usually right to the dime and my home was always cleaner than when he first arrived. I would hire Mike for all my projects

Mike was extremely professional and very easy to work with through out our project. We left our house open to his team while we were on vacation. We returned home to a completed project that exceeded our expectations.

I hired Finishing Touch to rip carpets and restore my hardwood floors. Finishing Touch did an amazing job, the floor so ready better than I could have ever imagined. The crew worked quick and were professional and finished ahead of schedule, I can highly recommend them, no hesitation.

We reached to Finishing Touch because they did our hardwood floors 20 years ago. They responded quickly, their prices were in line with 2 other quotes and they were able to accommodate our time lines. They resinished 2 floors including weaving into an existing floor to expand it into an additional room and installed new wood in a total of 4 rooms and a hall. The quality of the bar woods maple, oak and hickory was top of the line. Their work was top notch, they finished early and on budget. They will not disappoint!

Mike comes in and does the job quickly and efficiently. He and his team are very dust and odor conscious and work with owners to do the job with as little disruption as possible. We have used Mike four or five times to install and/or refinish rooms in our house. He is our "go to" guy.

Finishing touch is in the process of removing 5 layers of old flooring from my home and replacing it with new white oak. Then, in phase two, he'll be refinishing the old white oak floors. As a Realtor, I come across many contractors. I chose Mike because of the reputation he already had. I have been very pleased. My new floors match up incredibly well with the old floors. There is no tripping hazard between the old and new floors. He and his crew started when they said would and were neat and clean as they worked. I'm very happy I have chosen Finishing touch to take care of my special old home.

This company was recommended to me by an acquaintance. After a period of research I contacted Finishing Touch to set up an appointment to obtain an estimate for a home improvement project. I found them to be professional, and to my surprise incredibly reliable. Not only was the project finished within the specified times, it was also well within the estimate of which I was quoted. The finished project was beyond my greatest expectation! The workmanship was of the highest quality and I would highly recommend them to anyone. A five star rating is not high enough for this company.
