Sobaski Abbey Carpet & Floor

We had a great experience at Sobaski Abbey Carpet & Floor with the tile backsplash for our kitchen renovation. Chad was efficient and friendly in helping us choose the tile and other needed materials, and Shane did a wonderful craftsman’s job of installing the backsplash. Everyone seemed focused on customer satisfaction, which was definitely achieved. We give the staff and the finished product a big thumbs-up.

I highly recommend Sobaski to anyone with carpet, rug, flooring or tile needs. I have worked with Kelly, Mitchell and Courtney, and all were absolutely amazing. They were very kind, patient, honest and knowledgeable. I’ve purchased two rugs, my partner got new carpet installed at his rental property, and he got the scraps bound for a rug. Everything was high quality and a stress-free process. I plan to continue to work with the kind people at Sobaski for luxury vinyl in a laundry/bath room reno and tile in a partial bathroom reno.

Joe and the team were awesome. They helped me measure my upstairs. They were extremely helpful in guiding me to a carpet to endure my family and pet's needs. They were able to schedule installation quickly and best of all they understood my budget and stuck to it. My family has used Sobaski carpet for many years and will continue to use them exclusively for all my flooring needs.

We were so pleased with our whole experience with Sobaski in completing our 2nd floor project. Courtney was so great to work with and she helped us in every step of the process. Alex and Victor installed the flooring and we can't compliment them enough. They were meticulous, hard workers who have terrific instincts and attention to detail. They helped us move furniture and initiated a "fix" for a carpentry problem we had in our bathroom. They fixed it to look brand new. We have high standards and they exceeded them in this project. They also cleaned up after the project and were respectful of our home which we appreciated.

Sobaski's exceeded my expectations in every way, and I can't imagine working with any other flooring store ever again. Anyone who's had new flooring installed knows that it's quite a process, and Sobaski's made my journey much easier. Being new to Iowa City, I was planning to order my marmoleum flooring online and find a local installer. I thought that was the most cost-effective option. A call to Sobaski's revealed that they not only carried the exact marmoleum I was looking for, but their installation costs were also very reasonable. Kelly Sobaski quickly scheduled a measurement and provided an estimate, and the final price turned out to be less than what I found online. Installation was a breeze. I then decided to inquire about cork flooring for the rest of my condo, which I was also planning to purchase online. Kelly once again beat the online price and was extremely accommodating to my installer, who I had already hired months before. Throughout this process, Kelly was always friendly, detailed, proactive in her communications, and prompt to respond to my e-mails. She offered guidance on which direction to lay the cork flooring and was very knowledgeable about marmoleum and cork -- products that aren't all that common. A+ service and not a single glitch, and I absolutely love my new floors.

I did a master bedroom/bath remodel in the summer of 2014 and used Sobaski's for the floors, tile and window treatments. They were very helpful. After listening to what I was looking for they would pull out samples that fell within my tastes and price range so that I didn't have to spend hours weeding through samples. They then worked directly with my general contractor to make the arrangements for installation. I will definitely use them in the future for floors, tile and windows.
