A-List re-did my entire bathroom down to the studs and put in a walk in shower, vanity, toilet, tiles in the shower and the floor and helped to organize someone to put in the frameless shower door. A bathroom can be very pricey, but I found their rates to be very reasonable and cheaper than other estimates that I got. I am definitely satisfied with the cost based upon the end result. I definitely have the bathroom that I have wanted every since I moved in to my unit. They organized everything with the city inspections and submitted needed material to the HOA for approval. They helped me pick out tiles in the style that I liked. Obviously every project will have different tastes of the owner, but they were quick to understand what I was looking for and to recommend things that fit my style. They had a project manager, Shon, and a manager that was onsite to let the workers know what they had to do that day, Niv. They let me know daily what was going to happen the next day. All of the workers took care to wear masks everyday and to protect the flooring of the unit as they were working. When they left, they would ask if everything was ok and clean from the bathroom to the door. I got their information from a recommendation of another owner in the building that used them and I am glad that I did. Since other units in building could tell that I was having work done, they asked for a recommendation and I gladly told them that I would use them again if I had more work to be done. I have mentioned to friends that if they need work done, then I have a good company for them.

They show up on time, work really hard and manage everything. They are really nice to work with and follow through with each step. I would highly recommend them.

A-list Builders has been a joy to work with! I interviewed several companies before moving forward with Ben and A-List Builders and I could not be happier with my decision. We remodeled most of house including the kitchen, bathrooms, main living areas and a portion of our backyard and the team at A-List not only gave us advice on the construction process but they also helped with our design, material selections and project management. Shon kept us informed every step of the way and we always knew what to expect. There were a few delays dealing with the city but once everything was approved we were off to the races. They completed the job on time, kept the site clean and delivered on their promises (which was big for us after having a few bad experiences in the past). We would definitely recommend A List Builders and are sure to use them on our next project.

I was so happy to be able to purchase my first home. It’s LA so there were some compromises but I made my peace with them thinking that I would just “find a contractor” and make the changes I wanted and then I would have the house I’d always wanted. That was 5 years ago and I’ve been through numerous contractors. Every single one of them changed something on me midway through – usually the price, usually for indefensible reasons. I came to realize I was a sitting duck. There were so many things I didn’t know – mostly I didn’t know that contractors are in a perfect position to take all kinds of advantage of me and if they did it well, I’d never know it happened. I was so worn out from being so vulnerable to and yet so dependent on these strangers. And then I met Ben from A-List Builders. He was right down the street, had a good website and I needed yet more work done. Ben was one of 3 contractors I called for this job – what I guessed would be about $30-$40k. Contractor #1 never showed up for his appointment, and never called to even cancel. Contractor #2 was over an hour late and didn’t even know how to handle his measuring tape with any finesse. He actually seemed to know less than I do about concrete – and that’s saying something. And then there’s Ben. He showed up exactly on time. He was professional. knowledgeable, friendly, informative. I walked him around the entire property to see how long of a list he would come up with that I “really needed” to have done. All he said was, “it seems you all have done a lot of work – it’s really nice what you’ve done. I’ll get you the estimate for the job you called about by the end of the day.” And then by the end of the day, I was emailed a full disclosure estimate, including time frame, start date, end date, itemized costs, the works. Clear as day. Ben is MY builder. Since that job I have called him for other jobs and it’s always the same – straight answers to direct questions and some expert ideas sprinkled in – a tweak here and there that saves money and makes more sense overall. Megan is who set things in motion and you’ll wish she called more often. She’s bursting with information and sunshine and never wastes my time. My only regret is that I didn’t call them the day after I bought my house. I wasted a lot of money and time. But some things are worth waiting for. A LIST BUILDERS is one of those things. I’m so grateful for this honest company that always has my back…and my remodels…and my confidence.

I hired A-List for a fairly large restoration project. The project involved wall replacement with framing and drywall, stucco, exterior and interior painting, foundation reinforcement, a new exterior gate, fence repair, brick and tile walkways. Ben was the only contractor I interviewed who recommended that an engineer inspect the foundation as part of the evaluation process. This was an insurance project and Meghan cheerfully worked through the process with my insurance company. All of the on-site workers were a pleasure to work with. They arrived early, were professional, and kept the work-site clean and organized… even the city inspector commented positively about A-List’s knowledge and organization. A-List Builders did a great job and their follow-up was excellent.

Like so many people in LA we bought a fixer upper and you know, love hopes all things. But over the last 5 years we have searched intently for a contractor we could trust. Someone we could talk to that would understand our ideas and add their wisdom to our projects. We have been lied to, ripped off and even had gold stolen from our home by one contractor himself while onsite. Doing renovations on our property is such intimate work and so often we end up giving access to our lives and homes to people that we never otherwise would and it usually doesn't go like we believed it would. Never has a contractor come on our property that affected us the way Ben & Megan from A-List Builders have. They immediately understood our needs and made brilliant suggestions. They answered every question, every call and it was such a difference dealing with them than any company we’ve ever hired before. They did not waste a minute of our time, nor did they try to get us to do more than we wanted. Their pricing is more than fair. They are so good at what they do and completely trustworthy and make hard things so much easier. As a resident of LA I just wanted to let as many people as possible know that it’s not impossible! There actually IS a really good General Contractor out there and a company that does all that it promises and more. Finally!

I choose with A-List Builders to work on my kitchen remodeling project due to the great reviews I found on Home Advisor. When Ben came to my house for our free estimate I knew Ben was the right guy to work on our kitchen, he was friendly and listened to what we wanted and soon after had a fair bid for me to review. Once I signed our agreement A-List Builders got strait to work, from here we started working with Shon, Shon was very professional and made sure our project went by quickly while making sure he got our entire wish list was checked off. I can’t believe the night and day difference, we have had the same kitchen design since 1974 so we could not be happier and would recommend A-List Builders to anyone looking for a fair price and immaculate service!

I hired A-List Builders as one of several contractors to help renovate my condo in West Hollywood. In the end A-List took over the entire job and helped me get refunds from poor work done by Home Depot contractors. The quality of the work was excellent and I have already refered them to my downstairs neighbor. I would definately use them again and would highly recommend them.

We hired A-List Builders to do a deck remodel for us and we are glad we did. Both Ben and Shon were here all the time checking on things. And when we wanted to change something, Shon would just go and get it done for us with no problem. And I can’t say enough about their crew..... it was a pleasure having them here. Our deck looks fabulous!

Ben and his team were rockstars. They were straight forward when it came to costs and I never felt taken advantage of. I had them completely remodel my kitchen, flooring, bathroom tile, and install a washer/dryer where an old water heater used to be. Everything they did not only worked 100% but looked beautiful as well. I also appreciated that they were two younger guys (like me) who were busting there asses off to make their company succesful. I hired this company to repair a leak in a tub, thought their work was superior and ended up having them replace the sandstone in the bathrooms and kitchen (a bad choice by the previous owner) with porcelain tile,

A-List Builders made my kitchen from eh to wow! Our house was built around the 1980's so our kitchen was very old. I had the pleasure of working with Ben and he completely modernized it and changed it to something completely new. Every time I have a friend come visit they are completely astounded by the transformation. I couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you Ben and A-List Builders.
