Asked Blake for a quote. The first time we had an appointment he was a no show. After contacting him to determine the reason he stated his grandchild was born. ( I was in another state and flew down) Set up another meeting. He showed, we discussed some of the repairs to my home. He provided a quote. I made some changes to the requests and tried to make another appointment with him, set a date, but he was a no-show again.

We hired this company to build our new 2250 sq ft home. Our experience can best be described as a Dr.Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. I firmly recommend knowing the difference between a custom builder, and a semi-custom builder. The first half of the build was smooth, however after we made some changes, as always occurs during a build, the builder decided to take his ball and bat and go home. He was very unprofessional, and even angry that we did not agree with his design choices of our home. He told me on two separate occasions that he no longer cared about our house. During the last three months of the build, the president of Blake Construction, Blake Lunde II only came back to the house three times. Each time was to collect a check. He had his subs working but we were also threatened with him pulling his subs from the site. He told me personally, that we will do as he says or he will remove his subs and the house will sit for 6 months or more unfinished while we go through mediation. We have now been in our home for close to 6 months, and are still awaiting numerous repairs, while our text's and emails are not answered

The reason we chose Blake construction to build our home came down to one simple thing, trust. Blake is honest and builds beautiful homes. I have never been concerned about whether things were being done right or built to the highest quality, I know they are. He has also walked us through the process step by step. When my husband and I began the project of building a home, we looked at homes built by a number of different builders. We were always drawn back to Blake Construction because of how impressed we were with their attention to detail and the finishing work was absolutely beautiful. When we visited the building site, we were always welcomed and all our questions were answered in a professional and friendly manner. During the construction, we asked to make several changes and Blake was very accommodating. The house was finished within the time frame we were given. We were always told that having a house built is one of the most difficult things a couple could go through but Blake Construction made the process very easy and a lot of fun. We are now living in a BEAUTIFUL home and love every minute of it.
