We had contacted multiple contractors and couldn't even seem to get any of them to start. After 5 years we were referred to Chris and Melissa. Chris got to know us and understand what we wanted and what our personalities were so that when we weren't on site if issues arose, he knew us well enough to stop and make sure the work was going in the direction we wanted. The attention to details and the communication was a pleasant change from what we had experienced previously and we can't wait to have him help us with more projects in the future! Chris designed and did the construction necessary to "open" our den into our sunroom addition, requiring the removal of an exterior wall and six large windows. He created arches with pillars that resembled existing arches in our second floor gallery. Chris was "beyond meticulous" - the job site was always left immaculate, the final product was beautiful and finished in a timely, cost-efficient manner. Chris's subs were equally professional and talented. It was a pleasure working with Chris and he has since done work for our neighbors, who were equally pleased with the outcome.

Chris and Melissa Johnson came to us with vision and ideas on how to make our dream remodel a reality. Although my dream remodel was not in my budget, they found a way to turn my ideas into reality that came as close to what I wanted as possible. Both Chris and Melissa have great ideas how to make the most of your space, with cost saving ideas so that you can maximize your budget. CKJ hires very respectful, professional sub-contractors that do great work. Chris works hard to move the project along efficiently and cleanly. He keeps a beautifully clean, neat work site, with quality work done. My husband and I have been amazed at how little we have been inconvenienced during the remodeling project. Now two neighbors are requesting quotes from him, and two other neighbors just had projects completed.
