We have worked with Downes Building Company on numerous projects and their workmanship is impeccable. Their quality to detail, and timeliness to complete a project has been beyond our expectation.

Work that was provided by Downes Building Co: New roof installed. Siding & windows replaced. New exterior door installed. New hardwood & laminate floors installed. Workmanship was of the highest quality. Team arrived when expected, and work was completed on schedule, and within our budget. Tim was helpful in keeping our costs down, with a clear understanding of what our actual needs were, as well as the tight schedule we were working with. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience, and wouldn't hestitate to use them again for future projects.

We had an room that was enclosed with all glass. It was too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. We had all of the glass removed and replaced with studs, insulation and sheet rock along with new energy efficient windows. The project went smoothly and was completed on time. A very professional job from start to finish.

I have always been more than satisfied. The value provided always exceeds my expectations. He not only provides quality service but has added value to to all the projects with his insightful suggestions. Numerous times he has "saved me from myself" suggesting better more cost efficient solutions that I had not thought of. Tim is an excellent communicator, returns calls promptly (usually within 24 hours!) and delivers the job on time and on budget. If there are any changes to the project along the way initiated by the client, he is clear and transparent about any additional costs that may be incurred. On many occasions I have been pleasantly surprised at the upgrades provided if his costs are lower than anticipated. When the job is finished, Downes Building Company continues to support their work. Any necessary follow up work is promptly addressed. The direct employees of Downes Building Company are courteous, professional and trustworthy. His subcontractors, from plumbers to electricians to painters work as a seamless team. Downes Building Company gets my highest rating and it is well deserved!

Downes Building Company completed two different renovations on our home in Newport, RI The first project was a major renovation and the second was a conversion/addition to the basement level of the home. They were excellent to work with in every single phase of the projects. Not only were they professional throughout - the crew was a pleasure to interact with. They kept us apprised of any issues as they went along- any changes we made to the original plans/materials were addressed quickly as far as adjustments in original pricing, time frame, etc. Their attention to detail - finish work in particular - was amazing. I would highly recommend them!

I cannot say enough good things about Downes Building Co. Extremely professional and timely, which can be hard to come by. Quality craftsman and very friendly. I would most definitely use them again in the future.
