Five Star Contractors, Inc. completed an exterior home remodel and remediation for us in 2021. The professionalism of the entire team from our initial phone contact till the departure of the last truck on the last day was top notch. The team helped us bring our ideas to reality. They're expertise in planning, material selection, demolition, construction, remediation and project management can not be beat. The work crews were polite and respectful of our home and neighbors ensuring that debris, noise, traffic and any disruption were minimized. Our home looks spectacular due to their high level of expertise and craftsmanship. We highly recommend Five Star Contractors, Inc. to anyone considering exterior house work. They truly are the best professionals in this business.

After buying a new house with the expectations that nothing would go wrong, I had a serious incident that required a hefty repair. I'm a homeowner, but not really savvy with repairs. 5 Star was recommended to me, but I was still suspicious. It's hard to tell who will do the work right, and who might cut corners. I was insanely put at ease in our first visit. They walked through how the would inspect the home, took drone footage, and came back with an estimate. They were willing to work with me and do the building in phases so I could find funding. They were instantly responsive to my concerns before construction, during, and after. Now, my home looks amazing. You can look at the exterior compared to the other homes around me and just SEE the difference, the cut outs and framing for anything protruding from the house, the proper pitch on the roof deck. They were so great to work with that I would not hesitate to recommend them.... actually I recommended them to my mother to get her deck refiberglassed!

We spent a lot of time researching contractors for our exterior renovation, which included all new Hardie Board siding, Anderson windows, and Clopay garage doors. We chose Five Star because of the time and effort they put into walking us in detail through their very thorough process and materials. Once they started the project, they kept us appraised every step of the way. their workers were very professional and friendly and took great pains to protect all areas of our home. They completed the project slightly ahead of time and on budget. We could not be happier with the results. We would strongly recommend them.

Five Star Contractors was the right team for my home rehab! When the stucco exterior of my home was in need of repair, I found Five Star and knew they would work with me and my plans to complete the job - not only for the basic cladding upgrade to James Hardie planks and Marvin windows, but for other specialty upgrades, such as framing repairs, interior room drywall repairs, and roofing upgrades. Five Star is conscientious and strives to do the job correctly. They implement redundant flashing systems at windows, and remove existing cladding down to the framing, which is the only way to truly know that any/all damage is identified and corrected before installing new insulation, structural plywood, WRB (usually HydroGap, a drainable housewrap) and then the cladding of choice by owner. Their interior window trim work was immaculate. They are efficient and work within the weather conditions, when needed; this was critical when they needed two consecutive dry days to tear off my existing roof down to the exposed sleepers and rebuilt the roof with new blocking, plywood, flashing and EPDM finish. All of their workers are dedicated, skilled and hard working people. My project was completed almost two years ago, and I have not had a single problem since with Five Star's work. Although the process of going through home rehab work can be stressful, Five Star communicated with me along the way and had everything under control. I am extremely happy with the finished outcome with my home, and recommend Five Star to others who really want similar work done right. - Eric G. (Philadelphia)

Michal understands the science behind weatherproofing a home, including window and door flashing, proper roof installation, stucco removal, Hardie siding installation, etc., and is also a very knowledgeable general contractor. He is professional and courteous and gets the job done right the first time. What more could you ask for? We also appreciate Five Star’s willingness to take on difficult projects in the city that other contractors would not attempt. Matt was very prompt and timely. He truly empathized with us, the homeowner, and the difficult situation that we were put in having our house not properly waterproofed when it was built. Martin and Nick were very professional and courteous with great attention to detail. The office staff is incredibly efficient and easy to contact and when the project is being performed and completed the site is kept clean. Overall a fantastic team that we would be happy to work with again.

I had a major stucco remediation done in the spring and summer of 2021. Once the stucco itself was removed, major termite infestation and structural damage was discovered. Five Star communicated with me daily on new discoveries, had the skilled edmployees to deal with all of the unanticipated issues, and held my anxious hand throughout the process. They are very professional, straight-shooters and extremely competent. I will use them for the remaining remediation to be done on my home.
