Matt Gilpin with Gage Construction is a breath of fresh air in the home building industry. He is excellent at communication and follow up, which is not always the case with contractors. He is thorough, meticulous, organized, honest, and sincere. I would highly recommend speaking to him regarding any home build or remodel project. He is very insightful, and always went above and beyond to answer all of our questions.

Choosing a professional construction company to finish a basement for a mother-in-law suite was one of the hardest tasks to do. We were fortunate to find Gage Construction who exceeded our expectations in every way. The professionalism exhibited by everyone from the owner to the electricians and plumbers who work with them was exactly what I hoped for. They were punctual, responded to calls, texts, or emails promptly, and always ensured that we were kept informed of progress and potential problems. The supervisor of the project, PJ, always seemed to keep a tight ship with his subcontractors. They obviously respect him and know that he will be inspecting everything they do for quality. One of the best memories I have of the company is after the project was complete, PJ came and personally walked through the area with my mother to be sure that she was 100% pleased. She didn't want to hurt the workmen's feelings and had not shared that she did not like the arrangement of some installed cabinets. As soon as PJ realized that she was not pleased, he had them come immediately and redo it to her specification, even though the project was technically finished. This is what you DON"T get in today's world. A company that cares about the project from the start to the finish, even after they receive their payment. HONEST, RELIABLE, PROFESSIONAL, KIND, RESPECTFUL, CLEAN, THOROUGH, AND QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP. Those words sum up our experience! I highly recommend them to anyone! If I were to ever build a house, I would hire them in a heartbeat, even though I had sworn to NEVER build another house years ago after a terrible experience with a different company!

Gage Construction did a complete redesign/renovation on two bathrooms. Everyone who worked on this remodeling job; demo, framing, electrical, plumbing, painters, carpenters and tilers were extremely professional, skilled, courteous and efficient. The quality of their work far exceeded my expectations. PJ (project manager) was always accessible and easy to talk to. If I ever had any questions or concerns he would address them and any “fix” needed was done quickly. I would highly recommend Gauge construction especially if you want a quality product.

I was the recipient of the home, I am a severely wounded veteran, and the home is wonderful and fully handicap accessible. His entire crew was professional and prompt every day. We have used Gage Construction one two $100k-plus projects. Both were house total gut-jobs. Extremely professional, forward-thinking and problem solving. Very good at keeping me up to date on progress and any issues that arise. All subs were courteous, friendly, and clean. very fast at getting back to me anytime I contacted them. The bid was right on point and Matt considered many items that Other contractors would not have thought about, so we stayed on budget. We used Gage Construction to complete a sunroom/open porch addition and I must say, the end results exceeded our wildest expectations. The project was very well managed, completed ahead of schedule, and remained on budget. We chose to remain in the house during construction and the crew was very professional and courteous. They arrived on time every day, and always cleaned up after themselves. Our neighbors and friends are in awe at how well the project turned out. From the outside, it looks as though the addition has always been a part of the house as the roof lines all tie in beautifully. The inside is just as stunning. Everything is just perfect and we could not be happier. When we met Matt for the very first time, he earned our confidence and respect as a contractor whom we could trust with our most prized possession, our home. He even referred us to a draftsman who prepared the plans, saving us hundreds of dollars in architectural fees. the Gage company did a outstanding job on our lake house. the professionalism, work quality was awesome. they kept us on budget and delivered on the projected time line. they are extremely trust worthy and very honest. it was a pleasure doing business with the Gage company and we will use them in the future.

We hired Matt, Gage Construction, to remodel our Kitchen. Before this started we had over 3 gallons of rain come through our front windows during the flood of 2015. Cage Construction was able to find the area where the water came through and fixed the problem we had been having for over 15 years. All the work was done professionally from demolition to the smallest job of installing the hardware on the cabinets. When there was a problem, PJ Calcutt always handled the issue professionally and usually came up with the best solution. Every subcontractor Gage Construction recommends are easy and wonderful to work with. The finished project exceeding all of our expectations! We already have plans to remodel our Staircase and Master Bathroom.

We hired Gage Construction to renovate a bath for us and very pleased we did. From the demolition phase to completion, the crews treated us and our home with the utmost respect. All phases went smoothly, communication was excellent through PJ Calcutt who was onsite daily, and all phases of this renovation were handled by competent professionals.
