Gerry and his team renovated our basement. It was an ambitious project made easier by the professionalism, expertise and dependability team Dunleavy provided us. Extremely detailed oriented, they worked with our architect and designer flawlessly. We were impressed by the precision of timing, the transparency with the subcontractors and their effectiveness in minimizing the hassles for the owners by taking care of it all. We particularly liked the carpentry, they took great care incorporating elements of the existing woodwork in the house. They were flexible and prompt at responding to inquiries and accepting changes. The subcontractors they use are professional and provide equal quality to the end product. A great advantage once the construction was complete, is that Gerry and his team know the house inside out and have provided further assistance maintaining and remodeling other areas of the house. We were thrilled working with them and would recommend them enthusiastically.

Gerry and his team were outstanding...from the initial follow-up to my first inquiry to the final walk-thru of the finished project. Embarking on a major addition....a kitchen and three bathrooms...is a daunting process...and living through it adds another layer of stress. But the Dunleavy crew made it all bearable...even re-locating our W&D to the cellar temporarily...no need for the laundromat! Dunleavy knows how to plan and execute....the schedule moved right along and the coordination of all the subs was flawless...we didn't have to worry about anything...Gerry made sure it was done and done right! And now I have a kitchen that can be described in one word..."WOW"...it's better than I could have ever imagined. When Gerry says..."he makes dreams happen"...he really does. Dunleavy is the best.

I have hired Gerry Dunleavy for several projects including a major renovation of my home several years ago. I have also hired them for smaller jobs through their handyman division. When a heating pipe burst in our finished basement, I contacted several contractors, but hired the Dunleavy firm. They were very responsive, professional, reliable and offered good advice. Their staff and subcontractors were also very professional and the work was completed on time and very well. Even though my job was small, I felt that it was important to them that things were kept on track and completed on schedule. I think Gerry Dunleavy Construction is a great company to work with and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Gerry and his team were professional, courteous, and the work was beautiful. We did a design build of a mud room with his team - so went from concept to plans to build to finish/paint. The team kept the space neat, communicated well and were sensitive to having 3 kids and a dog living in the house while they worked. All of the subcontractors - cabinet maker, electrician, painters were equally good. Gerry's project manager Marion kept them all going as expected and was a joy to work with.

Gerry Dunleavy helped us renovate a back entry hallway. The job included carpentry including constructing a bannister, moving heatiing pipes, and restoring a 150 year old floor. The quality of the job was excellent, and the staff at Dunleavy Construction where excellent at communicating with me along the way. Very happy with Dunleavy and will use them again for future projects!

Gerry provided us personal one on one consultation on our job. They did a terrific job on time with competitive pricing. We were given detailed invoices as the job progressed. The garage came out perfect...matching our house to the t! Only complaint is the clean up of the job could have been better, saw dust and some nails left scattered around the garage.

Gerry Dunleavy and his team have been helping us transform our turn of the century colonial into the home of our dreams. From the first moment I met him, I knew Gerry was the contractor for us. His confidence, attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile is matched by none. From the design process to the demolition, through construction (including our fair share of hiccups) and installation, no detail went unnoticed. The Dunleavy team and subcontractors are the best of the best. They are trustworthy and respectful which was imperative as my family lived through our 4 month renovation. We are anxiously awaiting the start of phase 2 of our transformation and cannot imaging anyone other than Gerry Dunleavy and his masterful team leading the way.

In 2013, I hired Dunleavy Construction, to renovate our newly purchased townhouse. We were so pleased with a huge renovation that Gerry had done on our previous house, 10 years ago, that we knew Gerry was the only one we would consider for our new project. From the initial phone call to last sweep of a broom, Gerry and his crew of excellent craftsmen were professional, responsible, courteous and just a pleasure to work with. We are thrilled with the results. Dunleavy Construction never forgets that the "project" is your home!

Dunleavy Construction remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago, and we were so pleased that we asked them to remodel our bathroom this year. They answered all our questions promptly and were very professional throughout the process.

In 2008 Dunleavy put a three-story addition on our house and they did such an excellent job that we recently hired them again (Fall 2014) to rebuild our front porch. It was a tricky job because we wanted to preserve as much of our 1890s house's old look as possible, but still comply with all the modern safety codes. Dunleavy put two guys on the job who were here just about every day for 2 months. They completely rebuilt the base of the porch, steps and railings and put in a new bluestone walkway and granite steps to the sidewalk, consulting with our architect as they went. The final product is gorgeous. The project took a little longer than we expected, but it came in about budget and it will last a lifetime. We're very pleased.

Gerry has done lots of work for us in the past so when we had a major renovation to do, we obviously called him. We had a very short window to complete the job and Gerry made it all happen on time. The results are wonderful. An historic 1850s house is now a shining gem. I would always recommend Gerry Dunleavy for any home improvement job, large or small.
