J.M. Froehler Construction

We couldn't have made a better choice than J.M. Froehler Construction. They were able to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. We bought a house built in 1960 and JMF remodeled it for us. They gutted the kitchen, half bath, and master bedroom, building us a new kitchen, powder room, laundry room, dining and sun room, and a new master bedroom, walk-in closet, and master bathroom. The original square footage was 1,803 and 965 sq. ft. was added on. The house didn't have a front porch so they built us a lovely front porch that my swing would fit onto. We have a new deck and new roof, also. Matt, Mike, and Brian were a joy to work with, giving incredible attention to detail. We couldn't be more satisfied with the final result and recommend them 100%. All of the work was done with us being out of town, by the way.

From our first meeting to project completion, we were impressed with the quality of workmanship, professionalism and communication. Great job on a screened porch addition to our home! The design team worked out a clever solution that now looks like it was part of the original construction. They took care of the job site like it was their own home when an unexpected winter storm threatened to invade our home mid-construction. While I was out of town for 80% of the build, we communicated through the phone app with pictures, messages, and the foreman kept the project moving smoothly. Highly recommend Froehler Construction for the quality of the work and commitment to delivering a customer focused experience.

My husband and I worked with Mike, Matt, JR, and Brian to build our custom house. It was an absolutely wonderful experience! They are all smart, quick to respond, careful, attentive, available, and a ton of fun. From the beginning they did a great job of understanding what we wanted and as a result they priced our house just right. A lot of contractors lead with a low number and then surprise you along the way with higher costs. The only surprises on our project were our choice. The other pleasant surprise - they finished our house when they said they would. They told us at the beginning it would take approximately 9 months to build (we were surprised by that), and they got it right! When we hit a snag they were always quick to think through a solution and resolve it quickly. We will never use another builder again - these are our "go-to" guys for every future project. We can't recommend them strongly enough!

We hired the Froehler Brothers Matthew and Mike to do an extensive renovation and addition to our beach home in 2016. Right from the start of the project, it was clear they were professional, honest, expert, friendly, and communicative, so that they and their team and us always wound up on the same page. Not only did they develop a timely working plan and adhered to the time line, but the inevitable adjustments and revisions were melded smoothly along the way, and they had many great ideas to come to an exquisite result. For those interested, our house is featured as the Mid Century Modern home on the houzz web site. Choosing a builder is like finding that doctor or lawyer...significant time, money and effort and communication are vital to a satisfactory outcome. AAA [affable, able, available] is what we wanted, and we added an A for amazing when all was said and done. We recommend them without any reservations!

We hired JMF Construction for our kitchen renovation, which included removing a structural wall and installing all new cabinets, countertops, light fixtures and most appliances. We could not have been more pleased with the project from start to finish. Matt, Mike and our Project Lead, Brian were both personal and professional. They thoroughly understood our vision and were meticulously focused and involved from demo to final inspection to ensure that we were satisfied with the progress in each phase. Their quality of work is second to none, and while they take great pride in their craftsmanship, their concern for their clients' happiness could not be more genuine. We did not move out during this remodel and they were wonderful about cleaning up the work site each and every night. The project began on schedule and finished EARLY! Seriously, these guys are amazing and worth every penny!!!

This renovation was a joy! John, Matt, Mike and Dustin all worked above and beyond to make everything happen perfectly, every day. Our 1972 built house developed problems in the 20 years we have lived here, some were initial construction flaws, others simply from age and usage. We renovated the kitchen and laundry room, tore out closets, expanded the master bath and replaced the floors. From the initial vision, to handling the unexpected, incorporating our ever increasing input as we became savvy renovators, everyone was superb. Every subcontractor came with a terrific attitude, every problem had an innovative solution, no problem too small or large. Our experience with J.M. Frohler was exceptional, and phase 2 is already in our minds.

After interviewing several construction companies to repair and renovate our kitchen we were very impressed with J.M. Froehler Construction and are glad we hired them. Prior to retaining J.M. Froehler Construction, we interviewed and evaluated proposals received from other potential contractors. They were unable to work with our ideas for a kitchen design. There was something lacking in their presentation; they didn’t represent their companies or themselves as professionals who were willing to listen. Their plans were based on kitchen remodeling prototypes consisting on cabinets mounted in a straight line. They didn't grasp the concept of our kitchen and the end result we were trying to achieve. Matt and Mike Froehler changed all that. Both businessmen presented themselves as professionals, committed to giving us a quality product. They proved to be very reliable in doing so. Both gentlemen were willing to listen, take their time to understand our ideas and help us come up with plans for our dream kitchen. It was evident that their professional background and experience gave them the ability to envision our own ‘vision’. They had the ability to start with the end product in mind. Matt and Mike have different roles in the company and both took their time to make sure we were all in agreement before remodeling began. The initial contract was well prepared, well presented, fully explained and easy to understand. Their presentations were professional and each phase of the project was precisely described. Their performance to meet that end was evident in the working relationship that they had with their subcontractors. Subcontractors working with Froehler Construction were outstanding; professional and fair-minded every step of the way. We easily came to rely on the Froehler’s expertise. Any questions that surfaced or pieces of the puzzle that needed to be adjusted, Matt or Mike took care of the issue immediately. If a modification was necessary, we reviewed the amendment before signing the updated proposal. All these actions took place prior to starting any work. Froehler’s Project Manager, Dustin Olinger was a huge asset to us and represented his company extremely well. He was compassionate about our situation. Always on time, Dustin showed up when he said he would. He called when he said he would. Dustin was a hands-on manager, working alongside the subcontractors he was supervising. Heavily involved with each day’s work and always on top of the daily construction needs or requirements, Dustin was the kind of Project Manager who was welcomed into our home. He was forward-looking at all times. He was imaginative, dependable, very professional, and above all, trustworthy and true to his word. Once we started working with the Froehlers and got to know them, we knew we had hired the right company. They did everything they said they were going to do. They did not cut corners. The company’s work, service, and product is beyond reproach. We would trust Froehler Construction with any project and without reservation, recommend the company to anyone.

THE NEW PINK HOUSE ON THE BAY LIVES!! Mike Froehler was great to work with and kept me going in the right direction. Matt and John Froehler seemed to understand what I wanted in design and building of a home on the bay that would be low maintenance, energy efficient, best use of space, adaptable to aging in place and an amazing place for friends to watch spectacular sunsets and be apart of our piece of paradise. The project began in August 2014 and was finished in early May 2015-- ahead of schedule. The subcontractors arrived as scheduled and the site was cleaned daily. BIG Nor'easters provide challenges that tested the structure and the new house WON with few modifications. Tell these amazing gentlemen what you want in design, maintenance, future plans and they will step up with the right answers and make it happen.

Froehler Construction did a complete demolition and renovation of our condo on the beach. From the the first estimate until completion, Matt and Mike were always respectful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The crew was always polite and very tidy. Whenever we had a question they were very quick to respond. Their experience was a bonus, as we did change quite a bit from the original plan. Matt, Mike, and their project managers stayed on top of the progress daily. The patience they displayed was a relief whenever we decided to add or change something. We would highly recommend J.M. We hired J.M. Froehler Construction for a major renovation of a 30-year-old home and had an excellent experience. We had obtained numerous quotes, interviewed each contractor, and checked references for the final two candidates. We were told by several references that Froehler was the best option for complex projects, plus they instilled confidence and they gave us a very competitive price. I am happy to report that we were 100% pleased with the experience and the results. They gutted the kitchen and master bath, relocated the laundry room, and opened/expanded the back of the house. This involved removing walls and installing two large (one was 20’ in length) steel beams (among other structural beams). The architect had questioned if a contractor could execute that...Froehler and their team did it and the results were terrific. The project also involved new and refinished hardwood floors, new lighting and plumbing fixtures and new paint throughout the house. There was also substantial new and relocated plumbing and electrical work involved. The only thing they didn’t fully renovate was the garage, but they installed new garage doors including reframing the garage openings in less than a week when we discovered that the existing framing had extensive damage. The project supervisor, Mike Froehler, was exceptional to work with and their subcontractors were capable and well managed. They had good functional and decorative suggestions as well. The renovation took 4 months of intense work. We moved into the home in March 2014 and more than 1 year after completion of the project, we remain 100% satisfied. They have been very responsive in addressing a small number follow-up issues. This was a great experience-nothing like the renovation horrors we have heard. We highly recommend this contractor.

Several years ago John did a master bath remodel for us and just did a superb job. Last year, we decided as we got older stairs were not so much fun so we went to John again and asked him about putting a first floor master bedroom suite as an addition on our house, about 5000 square feet. He did an outstanding plan and design that met all of our needs, and even though the project began around New Years' completed it within the time frame he had quoted. the job was outstanding............terrific management and oversight by John and Mike, excellent and most competent subs, quick resolution of any issues (and they were only very minor), and just a perfect job in matching the brick, roofing, etc. of our existing house so it looks like it's been part of the house forever. We can't say enough good things about JM Froehler and would encourage anyone to use them for any construction, renovation, or addition projects for your home. Just first-rate!

We were very pleased with the their quality of work . The job was started on time and they finished on time . The foreman of our job was extremely helpful and always their when we needed him for advice. We have used JMF for several home-improvement projects over the past decade. They have remodeled our kitchen and added a family room, as well as updating and remodeling our master bathroom. Most recently, they did a major reconstruction of our living room. A few weeks after the renovation was completed, a tornado tore through our neighborhood. Once again, we called JMF to help us repair our home. They are always professional, courteous, advise appropriately and the job is done to perfection!!! Thank you John, Matt and Mike!!!!!

Mr Froehler and his expert crew took a old attached garage, and crafted it into a beautiful playroom for our children. He raised the floor, reframed the room, fixed structural issues with the roof on the old garage and added a dormer, retired the room, and fully insulated the room. The room was beautiful when he was done, and you can't tell from the outside that it was a garage before. I waited a year before reviewing this project, and have had zero issues with anything. His team was professional, clean, and performed better than expected. They are an honest, hardworking, and high quality company that I would use again for any remodeling, or construction work.

I was extremly happy with my bathroom remodel. The froehler company is very professional, patient and informative. I had a few ideas for my bathroom but because it is very small I did not think I could actually get a luxury spa. I was given several options and was able to get a beautiful new SPA/Steam room. I changed what i wanted several times before the completion of the project but they responded very professionally and gave me what i wanted. I could not be happier with the results and would call them for my next remodel project. We hired Froehler to construct an addition to our home enlarging an upstairs bonus room so we could make it into a media room, added an additional two car garage, two bathrooms and a Jack & Jill bathroom. Our goal was to make the addition look as if it had always been a part of the home which was accomplished. John Froehler and his sons did a great job, stayed within budget and finished in a timely manor.

John Froehler remodeled by previous home and when I needed to make modifications to my current home to accomodate my youngest sons wheelchair van in out garage I gave him a call. He and his son's provided us the best experience one can have when having to deal with an additon while living in the house. My son uses a walker and every crew working on the project made certain that he had no problems when leaving in the morning for this day program. As for the quality of the construction is was excellent. I have an additional project planned and John will do that one also....if can put up with my OCD for a clean job site..:)

Our major renovation by J. M. Froehler Construction to our 2800 sq ft home went surprisingly smooth.....no hiccups..... no delays...... no unexpected charges. His job supervisor kept us well informed of current status of the project. We added a full bath, MIL Suite kitchen, a Florida Room, and a new foyer and front porch. We also enlarged the garage to a 3 car. All of the finished work looks good and functions well. I most definitely recommend this company.

I hired JMF Construction to remodel an old waterfront house that I had just purchased and planned to move into. The contract was to be priced on a "Cost + Basis". After the work started, major hidden damage was discovered requiring significant expansion of the project. Despite these problems, the Froehler's managed the project in a totally professional manner, managing both the timing of the repairs and controlloing cost overruns. The remodeled house is beautiful! I am now sitting in my wonderful new kitchen, having my morning cup of coffee, watching the Rowing Crews practice in their racing shells out on the river. I recommend to anyone who is comtemplating a large or difficult remodel project to talk to JM Froehler Construction.

J.M. Froehler Construction did a condo update for us including the kitchen, master and guest bath, new flooring, crown modeling throughout, new doors and repainting the entire unit. They did an excellent job and were able to accommodate our tight construction timing. We were provided detailed concept drawings of what we wanted in the new kitchen including new cabinets, granite countertops, sink and refrigerator. Matt and Mike provided us with a daily follow-up on their progress, made suggestions on how to handle any issues that came-up, picked up materials for the job and got rave reviews from our critical condo staff! We hired JM Froehler to do a sunroom addition as well as renovations throughout our home including the kitchen, master bath, stairs, and flooring. They were prompt. They finished within one week of their estimate timeframe, which is nearly unheard of these days. Their staff and subcontractors were professional and friendly. We continued to live in the house during the renovations and the JMF team was always considerate of our time and space. I would recommend this company to anyone considering renovations or additions to their home, big or small. I can't recommend this company more. Froehler Construction remodeled a large portion of our home. Everything was kept clean and organized.
