I have known Russ Lake, Owner Lake Superior Custom Carpentry for over ten years and can't say enough about his responsiveness to inquiries, complete detailed proposals, quality of his work, the timeliness in completing each project, and the cleanliness he maintains at the job site. Most importantly the costs he estimated in the beginning, is exactly what the project cost in the end with the agreed adders as the project moved along. He has executed projects flawlessly both in my present home and at my previous one as well. These projects were extensive renovation/remodeling projects of bathrooms (including Master Bathrooms with custom closets) as well as kitchens with custom cabinets, top-end/designer appliances, and fixtures. He has excellent communication skills as well during project execution on an almost daily basis provides status, what milestones have been reached, and what he expects to complete in the next few days - keeping a sharp focus on when he said he would have the project complete. Additionally he manages very effectively all the sub-contractors to arrive at the job as planned, and get done their portion of the project done on time, and to his satisfaction. Russ has also responded to emergency calls that I have had and got the problem fixed immediately. There is only one call I will make for additional remodeling projects, carpentry work, or custom wood working projects that I have, that’s to Russ.

We had an extension put onto our kitchen by Lake Superior. Russ listened to our ideas and helped guide us to ensure a well created functionable space. Russ worked with us to stay within our budget and create a beautiful update to our home. Russ took great care to ensure every detail was met in a timely and professional way. He made this large project completely stress and worry free for us!

Russ and team: - replaced all of our windows with Anderson 400 series windows - framed and put in a brand new picture window in our great room - installed new french door - put in wainscoting (shadow boxes) in our foyer, hallway, and stairway - replaced our deck with new Trex Decking

Remodeled a bathroom in full (new plumbing/fixtures/tiling and everything else). We had some pretty specific and unusual tiling requirements and Russ and his guys met and exceeded our expectations. Also responded very quickly and efficiently to minor snagging issues. All in all an excellent job.

Russ remodeled two of our bathrooms. Russ is very reliable and easy to work with. He shows up on time and keeps you up to date on his progress and the schedule of what work needs to be completed on a daily basis. He is very trustworthy and very conscientious. I would not hesitate to hire Russ again and recommend his services to friends and family.

Lake Superior has renovated two bathrooms in my home, installed replacement windows and sliding glass doers and has enhanced several entry ways with decorative moldings. This company is very professional, neat on the work site and easy to have working in your home. They have started projects while we have been on vacation. Very trustworthy.
