In April of 2020, my husband and I purchased a large home in Montecito—nearly 5000 square feet. In order to make it our own, we knew it needed some structural changes, some embellishment to its already great bones, and, therefore, some advice from a knowledgeable contractor to accomplish our goals. Having heard great things about Brian Lynch, we met with him and then hired him immediately after closing escrow. The projects went so smoothly and delighted us so much, we decided to continue with Lynch and his team with additional projects to bring the house to its full potential. As with any home, after living in the spaces, one gets an understanding of its flow and a solid, reliable, and talented crew helps bring that potential to a reality. Regarding that solid crew: After the first six months of projects were completed, we moved into the house and have continued the improvements and projects while living comfortably as they were underway. Every single worker has been well trained to isolate the working space with protective layers to reduce the impact on the rest of the house. Theoretically, it’s not easy to share your home with workers in it daily but because they surpassed my expectations in terms of the quality of the work—and their professionalism and respect for our home and privacy, it has been a wonderful experience as the projects and beauty of our home has evolved. The end result (although I have a few more projects in mind!) is that the carpentry, painting, masonry, electric, plumbing, and other details all reflect excellent craftsmanship and are a credit to each of the workers in those trades that “touched” our house under Lynch Construction. Budgets were managed and met fairly and our entire experience has been exemplary. I recommend Lynch Construction wholeheartedly.

We work in real estate as our business. With that said, we have worked with tons of contractors. So when I say that Lynch Constructions is at the top of our list for quality, customer service, responsiveness and professionalism that says a lot!!! Brian is in the final stages of completing our custom dream home and we could not be happier with him, his subs and the quality of his work. We have built other homes from the ground up and he has been beyond wonderful. If I can say that close to the end of our 2 year project, that says a lot. No problem should be his motto. Always willing to go the extra mile for us. After working with so many contractors you learn who plays well with other including his subs. When we interviewed him we also saw many of his other custom homes and everyone who has worked with him feels the same about him as we do now. We first hired Lynch Construction 7 years ago to remodel part of our old house and we were very pleased with the result. When we built our new home Lynch was one of several contractors who bid on the project. We decided to go with Lynch again and we are extremely happy with final results. Throughout the project the were very hands on and proactive. The standard of workmanship across the various trades and disciplines was mainly very high. The budgets were provided in detail and there was monthly financial updates. We communicated almost daily and any problems, issues or requests were handled quickly. We would have no hesitation in recommending Lynch for any construction project either large or small.

Brian Lynch Construction built our new home in Montecito. Over the past 35 years, we built seven homes in six states, and Brian was the best builder of all. He had great relationships with a cadre of high-quality subcontractors, knew local building practices and processes well, and was experienced in a variety of building projects. Above and beyond those expected qualities, though, were four other ones that distinguished Brian: 1. He took a holistic view of the job. Rather than compartmentalize to 'just' the home, he also focused on important aspects such as siting, pool & cabana, driveway & hardscaping, and neighbor relationships. 2. When a change was needed or desired, he figured out the best way to make it happen without undue angst or charges. 3. We felt as positive about Brian in the final stages of construction and even now a year later as we did the day we selected him. 4. Our million + dollar project not only met our quality objectives but also was completed on time and on budget.

I cannot say enough good things about Brian Lynch and his company, Lynch Construction. He is exactly what one wants in a contractor (or anyone else one hires, for that matter). He is smart, totally professional, has an amazing can-do attitude, a wealth of experience, and a top-notch crew that has worked for him for years. Unlike most other construction companies, Brian himself is the guy on-site. This means that you are dealing with Brian himself on a daily basis and not a supervisor that was assigned to your job. The value of this was emphasized by his past clients when I first contacted them as references, and I now know how right they were. What this means is that what you want done can be done immediately without going through dreaded formal "change orders." Brian has great people skills, and always seems to solve problems on his own without having to worry you, the client. One prior client, whom I had spoken with, told me about an incident that had happened with one of the subs; Brian told her that "he'd take care of it." The problem was immediately rectified and she never heard a word about it. Now that I am a client, and in the middle of a major and significant remodel with Brian, I can vouch that that is how he works. The bottom line is that I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
